Credentials. What credentials does Bill Gates have to tell anyone what they should do? As far as I know, he has no degree in climate related sciences. Yet people still read this book and take everything he says as fact.
Thank you for capturing in a book all issues on climate change. Plain and simple to grasp all concepts associated to climate change. It is relevant to every walk of life person. The book is spot on describing the depth and variety of the challenges ahead. It makes you reflect on what kind of world this generation wants to leave for future ones. Everybody shares this responsibility.

A great book!. I’ve read over a dozen books on the climate crisis, and this is my favorite one because it describes a simple framework for climate change that’s easy to understand and comprehensive. Highly recommended.
Why isn’t this book free?. I haven’t read this book yet, but I’m struck by the fact that this book is not entirely subsidized by Bill Gates. If he really wants people to read his proposal, why is he charging for it? He can certainly afford to offer it for free and, as a result, spread the word far more broadly and quickly...
So you can rate books without having bought or read them. Keep that in mind when reading the reviews. The negative ones are most likely trolls or folks that only watch OAN or Faux News....
Very Informative. I recommend everyone read this book! So many topics covered, including energy and economics. One thing that I have learned from this book is that we will need to make major technological advancements to stop climate change, but the solutions we have now are better than nothing. Another major topic covered- green premiums! Oh and I want to get a heat pump for cooling now instead of AC. Off topic: I love Bill Gates! He has inspired me throughout school even though I am an environmental engineering student. Thank you Gates!
Just Leftist Garbage. When your one the richest in the world, you believe that you can tell other people what to do and how to live there lives. We’re as if he told the truth for once, that unless China and India switch from fossil fuels now, it won’t matter what our country does.
All the important information delivered in an entertaining way. I read this after reading The 100% Solution by Solomon Rose, and I was pleasantly surprised at how readable this book was in comparison. Bill Gates has lived a very interesting life and has personally contributed more than almost anyone to fighting climate change, and it’s great to hear about the problems our world faces from him. The technical information contained within is roughly the same as The 100% Solution but it is delivered in a much more digestible, less repetitive way. I could have done with some more visual aids in this book that explain the processes behind emissions, something The 100% Solution does well, but the information is all still here. I’d recommend reading both books, but know that if you read The 100% Solution, you’ll probably be able to skim large portions of the book when it gets repetitive.
It is free. You are free to read it. It’s not free because consumers rarely appreciate items if they are free. The value is not recognized if you don’t have a small amount of skin in the game. I doubt the publisher would offer up their profit either. And I’m pretty sure Gates profits will go towards more climate mitigation...
Better Title: Green New Deal for Dummies. Not an inspirational tome, instead a vehicle to submit IP to a new Breakthru venture PE fund. Bill, you can do better by getting involved in politics NOT venture capital economics.
