Cute, easy read.. You knew two of the main characters would end up together as soon as the book started, but that’s not a bad thing! I enjoyed the story line, the characters, and their dialogue, but I do think some of the inner dialogue was a bit lengthy. (I found myself skimming through some of those parts). Overall I enjoyed the small town love story and plan on reading through the rest of the series. I liked that it wasn’t a “spicy” romance - but if you like “spice” you may want to skip this one.

Wonderful Surprise. Normally, I wouldn’t have been interested in listening to this book based on the description. However, I REALLY enjoyed this story! The narrator did such a great job! I loved the chemistry between Bree and Caleb! I loved Kay’s writing style and enjoyed the witty banter! I look forward to the rest of the series!

Diving into love. Enjoying hearing about how to deep sea dive along with a romance

Vacation Romance. Bree was just supposed to be in Starlight Ridge for two weeks, but when she loses her job she decides to stay longer. She was brave to take a chance on a temporary job and a romance with Caleb and to learn to scuba dive when she’s afraid of drowning. She could have taken the safe route and started looking for a another engineering job even though she wasn’t happy doing that work. Caleb was brave too taking on a career where the income is mostly season and heavily dependent on tourists and risking his heart for a woman who might not stay longer than the summer. I loved read about Starlight Cove, how welcoming the residents are, and all the beautiful ocean views. It made me want to visit this fictional town. This was a clean romance with plenty of quirky characters, funny, and sweet moments.

Great story in a welcoming town. Bree just broke up with her fiancé and went on a 2 week vacation to visit her college roommate. She meets a welcoming group of permanent residents in a tourist town that is preparing for the summer onslaught. Early into her vacation, she finds out that she's been laid off from her job as an engineer, with no severance package. She finds a job with Caleb, a hunky diving instructor and dive shop owner. Bree hates swimming and letting her head get underwater. Their attraction allows them to get to know and try to please one another. This book is clean and sweet. It is also humorous. I definitely recommend this book.

Wonderful romance! Lots of failed opportunities. Ugh. I LOVED this book, read it in one sitting however I would’ve wanted MORE details, the author missed on such an amazing opportunity to allow us deeper into the life of these characters and it didn’t feel right. So disappointed but I did love reading it

I wanted to like it…. It is one of the most boring books I’ve tried to read. I made it halfway through before I decided to just skip to the ending. There was a lot of fluff and not enough substance. The main characters were just blah.

Immature. This book is definitely a book for the younger generation. It probably is better for the 15-25yrs old age. I simply couldn’t identify with the characters or the story.
