Awesome. I could not stop reading for it’s worth amelia taught my mind so much

Something for everyone. This book has something for everyone in any stage of a relationship!

It grew on me. I started reading this book because the reviews praised it so highly, saying it provided great relationship advice and insight. It is an easy read, I’ll give it that. But the interactions between the main character and her friends are so noticeably... weird. They call each other babe a lot and there is so much relationship advice given without enough transition or context for it to seem realistic. And don’t get me started on the obvious male dialogue that INSISTS that the problem these days is that women ALWAYS IGNORE THE “GOOD” GUYS. Even the mother of the main character says it repeatedly. Come on. However, I did enjoy watching Amelia’s character slowly become more independent and confident in herself. I liked how she began to decide that her happiness was her own job, and we got to see her self-reflection surrounding her relationships. I’m actually glad I read this.

The Modern Breakup. I was skeptical about reading a book about breakups, because I’m going through one right now, but the story this book took, the advice, the quotes and how realistic it felt, was amazing! I was able to relate to the characters, and understand each ones point of view. I feel motivated and stronger. Definitely a must read whether you’re going through a breakup or not!

Good but Repetitive. Good read but did feel like it dragged on at parts.

Inspiring. This book is literally me on paper. Such a good reminder that you’re not alone and that you need to focus on you for a little bit. I definitely am glad I read it. It captivated me from start to finish. I highly recommend!

What did I just read.... Had a lot of long rants that made you want to put the book down then light it on fire.

Below average. If you like it, that’s you. I don’t like it because I’ve read more intellectual books. This is a modern break up, yes but for $10 of knowledge I’ve known and experienced first hand was not well spent.

Amazing. I am currently going through a breakup after a 3 year relationship and this book is helping me so much in so many ways. I just finished it. I read it in 2 days AND it’s finals week for me. That’s how good it was. Thank you so much to the amazing author. Adding different perspective was so helpful and necessary in the purpose of this book. I definitely recommend. Read it with an open mind as you should with every book.

Beautifully Written. Absolutely loved this book. I am going through a break up myself and have been experiencing a roller coaster of emotions. It is definitely hard coming out of something you thought was so great. It is hard to let go. Reading this book was enlightening. It made me feel less alone and more proactive. Besides that fact, it was beautifully written.

I never read. I never read... And I finished this within one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. So relatable! Hoping there's a second part... So much to take from it.

Thought provoking. I love that this book full of great advice is written as the story of Amelia. It makes for a quick easy read with pause to question the content and reflect on your own thoughts along the way. Can’t wait to see the follow up with Jays perspective and to delve into the male mind in the dating world a little more.

So true to life!. I’m 40 and ashamed to say I’ve never read a book in my life!! But this one I did in one sitting, and loved it! I have never related to someone’s story so much in my life! Good read. It’s a good book and quite insightful. Points out a lot of the questions and perhaps interior conflicts that both sexes find themselves facing, but also addresses them to some extent.

Eye opening. I think there are so many misconceptions about rejection and relationships failing. This book brings clarity to understanding them, and expresses often to reasons why a relationship doesn’t work out isn’t because of you but because of their own personal battles. It erodes the hate you would have for someone that breaks you heart. I recommend anyone who has gone through heartbreak to read this!
