It was okay. I admit even though it was a much slow burn erotic and highly dramatic story with the second couple of the CheckMate Series, yeah Drew and Courtney had their own share of highly intense sexual chemistry going on as well as ups and downs as becoming an couple romantically. At first I thought Drew was like an whipping man because he had this off again and on again toxic relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Mia?!?😬 It took a great deal of common sense to finally sink in that Mia is bat crap crazy and mentally unstable with her constant stalking of Drew and Courtney even though they were just best friends and roommates. Then after Travis and Viola’s wedding, there was that one night stand due to drinking too much liquor at the reception, from there things got heated up very slowly but steamy & shocking towards the end of book one of Drew and Courtney’s story?!?

Really good. Their story was really good, some bits are repetitive but I love their romance & relationship. Also I’m glad that it’s not all rainbows + sunshine, there is some tragedy in here. As for the cliffhanger I knew it was coming & yet it still managed to piss me off.

Another great book!. This author is turning out to be one of my faves. Great story. Love the funny and sweet and sexy. That’s a theme here for me. Loved this book!

Bored. I read books 1 and 2 and loved the story and connection between Viola and Travis, but this one doesn’t do it for me. I feel like Courtney and Drew are probably compatible, but their story was written poorly, and skipped vital plots. It seemed as if they went straight from ‘Drew is oblivious’ to ‘Drew wants a brand new relationship w Courtney.’ Didn’t even spend time to think about it. Ultimately I gave up about 3/4 through.

2 stars. It’s a good cute story line but there’s not enough details and it’s too fast pace.

it was decently good. i was excited to find out that courtney and drew got together, it was fun reading this but i felt like it was fast paced in the sense that it skipped forward quite a bit. would’ve liked a bit slower timeline but otherwise, decently good. however, i’m not running to purchase the next book immediately 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love, Heat, and What?!?. 4.5 Stars I think Drew and Courtney are so far my favorite couple. They started as acquaintances, progressed towards roommates, then best friends. Courtney has always had a crush on Drew from the moment she laid her eyes on him but never got in the way of his happiness. It was so fun to see how these two grew even closer together. The heat between them is an inferno. I have to admit, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and the authors do not disappoint. With a twist! I need the next one and quick! What happened was shocking!

Cliffhanger ending. There was a cliffhanger at the end, which is pretty annoying. Additionally, I had to continuously scroll through a lot of fluff. It felt a bit repetitive with all the sex and proclamations of love. I don’t know that I necessarily saw a large amount of character growth or that I would read this again. The writing wasn’t bad, but I lost interest.

Ugh why is this a duology. I’m so mad at this ending omg. It was totally unnecessary smh

Hot!. I finished this book within two days and I couldn’t get enough. Character are lovable and the storyline flows. Such a good read. Hope the other don’t disappoint!

Love the characters. Really enjoyed most of this story but absolutely hated the ending. It actually wrecked the whole story for me.
