Couldn’t put it down. Loved this book it was so cute nice quick little read! I’m excited to read the next book in the series. I love the enemies to lovers trope!. I have read a lot of variations of the classic tale of The Beauty and the Beast but I really enjoyed this one. The magical elements piqued my curiosity and the enemies to lovers trope between Rosalie and Xander was very endearing and quite hilarious. Overall I would say the story was pretty well written and definitely an interesting read.

😍. This book is amazing. The twist and turns have you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put it down.

Not a bad read but female MC isn’t consistent. This is the first book I read in quite some time and it was just meh. The way the author wrote the main character [MC] was a little wishy washy. It really threw me off bc the MC had so much potential but it was diminished at the expense of male characters. The MC had this independent, strong willed, cold hearted personality but once male or supporting characters were in the picture, she would become desperate and seeking their approval for EVERYTHING. If the author had wanted her to be a strong female lead there was sooo many ways to go about it instead of ruining the character bc of men.

Great spin on a classic. I loved the book! The end was kind of boring, and I’m not crazy for pregnancy tropes but I can see where the author was trying to end it with a “happily ever after” so I don’t hate it. Still giving it 5 stars because I couldn’t put it down. I read it in only 2 days.. it would’ve been 1 day but I have kids and sadly my attention was split lol.

Princess Rosalie. I read this book in less than a day. AMAZING plot twist and couldn’t end until I finished it. Looking forward to reading more of the series!

Of Beast and Beauty. Absolutely amazing I loved all of the twists and turns. Along with all of the details giving me the experience of actually being there or being able to feel what rose felt.

Good clean paranormal read. I was surprised to be able to finish it since I usually lose interest after certain climaxes in novels. This one keeps things interesting throughout although it glazes over a few obvious solutions to circumstances and questions to others in order to move the story along. So although that is a little frustrating I appreciate keeping the momentum of the story’s progress going.

I love it!. First book of the series that gets you hooked means the rest will do the same. My heart broke for Rosalie in the beginning. Tears were shedded. I’m in love with the ending. I wish there was more to the story of Rosalie and Xander!!

Not sure what to think. So, I have a lot of thoughts about this book. The writing was awesome, no doubt, it was really pleasant to read. The story itself is mediocre, it is a beauty and the beast retelling after all, so of course you knew who would end up together and so on. What did bother me was the main character. The author tried to give her certain character traits, but those changed all the time. One time she was kind, another time she was cold hearted. That kind of threw me off because the main character did have a lot of potential but once she did show one trait the next scene came and with it another trait, the scene before totally forgotten. Then there was the climax. I actually jumped over most of that, because it felt like the author just threw in everything they could think of and called that a big highlight and solving the plot points. After that some things were revealed, which creeped me out and reading the rest of the story knowing those things was just…. Weird. So yeah, while the book had great potential, but it lacked many things.

Total enjoyment. This is a well written quick pac d story that I enjoyed until the very end

Unexpectedly Good ✨. I like to read Apple Books because I’m lazy but I rarely come across books across the Apple Bookstore that are actually good. This book is one of those. Of Beast and Beauty was unexpectedly good. Great even! It had twists and turns. Very exciting. Not slow. Several plot twists that came one after the other. The story was very engaging. I love the action, the romance, magic and fairytale elements. They mixed together very well. Chanda Hahn keep ‘em coming! I’m eating this up!

Just okay. I loved the thought behind the plot and was excited to read a series with seven books, but as the story went on it felt rushed. the dialogue and emotions between characters seemed to be amateur and did not include as much detail as i’d like. There were plot twists but they weren’t as well developed as they could have been and overall everything seemed to be going very fast. I will continue to read the series and hope the writing is a little more detailed and clear.

Couldn’t put it down!. The tale doesn’t start out the way we all would guess, and the standard holds all of the way through. I was absolutely captivated! The story drew me in, and I held my breath waiting for the mysteries to be answered. I do wish there were a bit more to the prince, in that it wasn’t always clear as to why he would be kind and then immediately following be hateful. It made sense in the end, I just felt maybe a little bit too much whiplash from it. It needed just a *bit* more to explain what was changing between them. That being said, I am still in awe of this book and it will be going on my “read again” shelf! This story also has some casual elements, with magic being seen as fearsome by some but also extremely modern with mirrors being like telephones. Some of the language is very modern/ casual. It adds a lighter quality to an otherwise very deep story, so while potentially surprising, I think seems to be a very good thing.

Auto buy author. Read her Unenchanted series and fell in love with reading. Each book she releases continues to be better than the last. Absolutely amazing series, fully recommend all her books.

Highly Recommend you Read. So I hadn’t read a book in ages, but I’m currently out of state and spent all my data on ig and TikTok lol so it was either looking through my pictures 24/7 or downloading and reading a book. Personally my fav Disney couple is the Beauty and the beast <3 so I seen this book and decided to read it, I thought the book would be quite different than how it began but let me just say this book was amazing!!! I mean I read it every second I had the chance to, even while being in the car and heading somewhere I’d be in the back seat just reading lol. I loved it from beginning to end, it would have been nice to get a little more of the ending but honestly the author did an amazing job keeping me hooked. And I loved the main characters and her way of being a power woman but at the same time letting her feelings play a role. I guess there were moments where I could relate on her feelings towards the man she loved and how she kept herself real. Idk I’m not trying to spoil anything but this book was great now I’m back to reading haha .

Waiting for the movie deal 😮. Okay, let me preface my review with saying that I barely read fantasy or Romance. I am 100% a smut lover and that’s basically all I read (sorry.) I came across this book because I was BORED and when I tell you all that I DID NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN, I was not joking. It has everything I’ve been looking for. Whimsical Harry Potter-esque worlds mixed with Twilight Romance, and a dollop of dark fantasy 😫. I LOVED IT. In fact I can admit that I’m frightened at the idea of reading the rest of the series because I liked the characters of this first book waayy too much! Anyways..just read the book, it’s great. I’ll probably go and read the rest of the series now so bye-bye 👋

entertaining, although a bit juvenile. this was so entertaining, the writing wasn’t otherworldly and the story wasn’t exactly too well developed but it was still pretty good. rosalie is a very easy character to love and i love xander too. they were actual enemies-to-lovers. i will say the info dump and 1 billion plot twists in the last 80 pages was absolutely bonkers and not exactly in a good way, kinda felt like the author chose a path but then came up with something better but like 9 times over. nevertheless this book was a fun read to keep me entertained during vacation :) 3 stars ⭐️

This book broooooooo. Honestly an amazing book and couldn’t put it down for the life of me. I missed a whole 2 hour chemistry class just to finish reading it. No regrets tho ;) Xander and Rosalie are my absolute favourite and I’m ready to spend my money on the next book :))

An exciting beginning to a new series!. A new take on an old favourite. Hahn is the master of creating compelling characters that draw you in immediately have you rooting for them. I’m glad to say this book was no exception. The book opens Rosalie, eldest of seven adoptive daughters of Lady Eville, being married to Prince Xander of the Baist kingdom. The prince, until just hours before, was betrothed to another woman but after a conversation with Lady Eville, Xander’s father has agreed to him instead marrying Rosalie. Wedded bliss does not soon follow. Immediately after the ceremony Xander banishes Rosalie to her room, telling her he never wants to see her face. Too used to being the pariah, Rosalie decides to use her magic to allow herself some freedom around the castle. She ends up developing a dual identity, being both Rosalie, forced to remain hidden under a veil and unwanted wife, as well as Rose the servant/lady who’s sharp tongue and beauty attracts the attention of the hunter guard Gaven and her own unwitting husband Xander. However there are more frightening issues at hand as the kingdom of Baist has a beast roaming through it, killing anyone foolish enough to wander at night. Add to that the neighbouring kingdom of Florin is still out for blood 18 years after its queen and young princess were killed travelling through Baist. Can Rosalie help her new kingdom and convince her new husband that she is more than just a witch and daughter of Eville or is she destined to remain the villain of her own story?

Twisty!. I like a good twist on a classic and this had plenty of new in it.

Sure.. I picked this up because it was free (Australia) and despite having an endless TBR I couldn’t help myself. The synopsis sounded relatively interesting and I thought it might be a good on and off read for the train. Hmmmmmmmm. It was fast paced and written like any other mediocre YA fantasy. It wasn’t special but it also wasn’t particularly bad either. I didn’t have high expectations going into the book as I had never heard of it or the author, I would compare my expectation to perhaps wattpad style writing so in that sense it made the book feel of better quality but in reality the bar was just on the floor and the book was barely nine inches off the ground. Okay. So I have blabbed for a bit too long, let’s talk about the story. I think you can some it up in three words: it was fine. It was in all seriousness fine, a fairytale style plot ~well I would hope so considering it’s a beauty and the beast retelling~ with okay character development. The enemies to lovers arc was pretty good although I found Xander a little annoying. A knife to the throat before the end of chapter one left me with higher expectations than necessary but I wasn’t too disappointed by the end. One thing I truly loved was the magic system, the whole idea of power lines but for magic was super cool and I hadn’t see it before. Moving on from whatever that was I thought that Rosalie was strong but an oh so stupid character. She constantly made impulsive decisions that didn’t further the plot and her whole dressing up as a servant seemed smart at the beginning but got old and repetitive after a while. I would have liked to see more of the friendship between Pru and Rose but I’m assuming that in printed form this book can’t be more that 350 pages so i understand that with so much happening it may have been hard to add depth to side characters but I feel like the book could have been longer while still being fast paced and catchy. I’m no book critic by any means, in reality I’m a fifteen year old writing out this review at one in the morning on a Tuesday night so please take this with a grain of salt. The book is fine and considering it is/was on free iBooks you might as well give it a go. 3.5/5

Confusing but somehow still predictable. Look it’s alright but the plot twists are predictable and the plot devices are really obviously forced. The final plot twist makes absolutely no sense as the required act never took place, even implicitly. Maybe they scrapped a chapter or something.

Had promise. The prose is poorly edited. There’s awkward sentences and poor transitions. The plot had good premise, but I wouldn’t buy the next book based on the poor editing of this one. Just because it’s free, doesn’t mean the author should skimp out on the line editing.

A surprising find!. I actually really enjoyed reading this book! A lovely YA written fantasy romance of enemies to lovers which moved fast enough to keep you enticed. Magic, sisterhood, kingdoms and Gobsnotter (my fave character) the story was kept humorous and I made a real connection with the characters and finished in one day. I did notice some grammar errors but if you can ignore those then definitely give it a read! An enjoyable find!

Full of magic and twists!. I am a sucker for a re-telling story... especially one that will keep me on the edge of my seat and wondering just what could happen next. This book is full of witty character banter, fantastical plots driven by power hungry characters, Magic spells, and a cross-dressing goblin! Not only has the author written a story for a fantasy, magic, and scary creatures… But has set up a world for a series full of books based on these seven kingdoms and these sisters who all have their own set of powers looking to find their own story! I can’t wait to read more of this series!

An interesting retelling of a classic story.. Chanda Hahn takes us into a richly imagined world, with a wonderful magic system. The retelling aspect was done wonderfully; I could see where the fairytale influenced the story, and it was very interesting to see how this version of Beauty and the Beast conformed to or differed from the stereotypes. The book could have been written better - the author needs to use more commas and vary her sentence structure - and the plot is a bit too convoluted for my taste, but the characters were real, and the premise supremely interesting. In the end, it was the magic system and the worldbuilding that kept me reading, along with side characters such as Gobbersnot, Pru, and Ameline. I’ll have to read the rest of the books in the series and see if the author improves her writing, but I’ll certainly enjoy learning more about this fairytale world.

Of Beast and Beauty. If you are familiar with Chanda Hahn, then you know that she doesn't disappoint. This book is no exception. I was hooked from the first page. What an interesting and fresh new approach to a familiar fairytale. It's not a boring, predictable retelling of the same old story, it's fresh and new and intriguing. I definitely recommend this book for lovers of all things magic, fey, and mystery!

Ridiculous. Main character alternates between angry and desperate to be liked a dozen times a day. Things happen with no leadup and her magic powers fix everything. I can't keep track of who she is to others because while she hates the guys for lying, she never stops lying herself. If you want people to stop looking at you like you're a dark witch MAYBE STOP CURSING THEM. Frustrating and could not finish

Yes Yes Yes!!!. I absolutely adored this book! I never got bored and did not feel as if the story was lacking in any way. I love Beauty and the Beast retellings and this is now one of my new favorites!! One aspect that I completely and unfortunately relate to, are the scars. My own mother was severely burned and has terrible scars all over her body and I grew up knowing that those scars made her feel like a beast. Her soul is the most beautiful and vibrant I have ever seen so that fact that the character is made to feel loved despite the scars is pure and utter gracious glory! The author has now become one of my new favorites and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Definitely worth reading. I was pretty skeptical at first thinking it was going to be something I’d find on watt pad, but oh my goodness the first chapter had me hooked! I do wish there could have been more progression in the love story, one day they hate each other and the next night they are in love. Other than that, it wasn’t too bad.

Amazing and clean!. This book is amazing! I loved the twists and never guessed them! It kept me interested the whole time! I had to read it through all in one setting! It had a good message. I love that there was romance but that it was clean! For those of you who don’t like to read a bunch of junk you’ll love these. All her books are clean and have no sex or language. I will definitely be buying all the books in this series!
