Starts slow, then gets good!. It’s a good read! The first half is a little slow, in that it really lays out the history and different characters. But after that, it gets going! I thought this was a stand alone, and it kind of is, but it def ends in a way that makes you NEED to read more of the books.
Perfection. May Sage always has a knack for drawing you into an intiguing world and leave you begging for the next book. While not necessary, I was so glad I was able to read the prequel in order to have more back story into Chloe and Tom. I cannot wait to see what’s next for Chloe and the ravens ( I lOVE ravens!) and Levi, and Jack. I need more!!! Congrats Ms. Sage, well done.

Meh!!!. This book had potential. But it was full of cliches. The heroine was annoying and lacked so much character development. The male protagonist is supposed to be over two thousand years old yet talked like a 23 year old dude. The entire plot was pretty clear. I knew she was one of them. Nothing interested me about this story. It was such a chore to finished reading it.
Just read it. A little slow in parts, but worth the read. The ending is great. I want to read the next one!
Great book. Looking forward to sequel. I can’t wait to see this heroine develop her powers, and find out how she triumphs over the vampire queen who is trying to kill her.

Couldn’t put it down, and wishing I had the money to read the entire series. So well written I was enthralled from the beginning to the end. Thank you and the talent you have! I rarely write reviews, but this was totally worth it. If only I could write this well!
Can't wait for the next one!. This book's a good read. The main characters are absolutely mesmerizing and the secondary one's are interesting enough that you wonder if everyone's getting a book/story sometime during this lifetime. They can definitely carry a 300+ page book by themselves. I found it slow during some parts but boy, that last 45% ended with a BANG. I inhaled the last few chapters in what felt like seconds. This is one of my favorite series now. Hoping to see more of Tom & Viola in the next one; those two hold a special place in my mind because they were my start into all this. Chloe & Levi are a delight to read and they will definitely leave you wanting more. Just like they did me. May Sage has done it again. I can't wait for the next one.
