- Wonderful Read5 star

I’ve read several Devney Perry books and this is by far my favorite. Wonderful characters and interesting story line. Can’t wait to read another!

- Great!5 star

Absolutely the best read in awhile!

- Great story!5 star

Every time I got a chance to read I took it! I had no idea the story was going to take so many twists and turns. I want more of this family.

- Consent needed3 star

This story tries for an “enemies to lovers” angle, but seemingly forgets to give any redemption arc in the middle. Jess doesn’t apologise for being an absolute jerk and harassing Gigi using his police position. He just expects her to be attracted to him and go out on a date after she repeatedly says no. He kisses her on their date after she again says no and tells him she doesn’t want to date him. Conflict is fine, but where’s the winning her over? It’s all good just because Gigi decides he’s attractive after all and the kiss she didn’t want made her horny? Aside from that, the relationship isn’t bad. Jess with Gigi’s daughter is very cute. Jess learning to cooperate with someone rather than act alone is good. His anger issues which make him yell at a 4 year old should have been dealt with better. Gigi has some past bad relationships that affect her, which is understandable. The drug danger plot is fairly believable and interesting, although it gets a bit too rushed and develops some holes in the end.

A novel that is riveting, this one has love, mystery, history and ethics in a Arizona resort town . The characters are so realistic that you want to scream with them laugh with them and cry with them. The sheriff meets a nurse and the read is on. I could not put it down. .Cuddos to the author . The setting is beautiful and the action is unrivaled.

Great story!!!!

- How do you rate a book that is only 57 pages long??!!😡2 star

I could have liked this “free” book, but it was basically a click-bait. I57 pages and you can continue reading if you purchase the $4.99 sequel. No thank you.

- Insanely good5 star

Fantastic story. The chemistry between Jess and Gigi is combustible and burns up the pages. The banter between the alpha male, protective, sheriff and the tough as nails, single mom, nurse is so good and was definitely one of my favorite things about this book. The running back ground suspenseful themes was interesting and made this so much more than a romance (although nothing wrong with romance lol) all tired up with a nice HEA now.

- Romantic, but could be better3 star

I liked the premise of the story, and found the characters mostly believable. However there were two things that really bugged me about the plot. 1) Gigi had so much self doubt, but the fact that it all supposedly came from one encounter, even if it was after repeated contact with the one-night stand, seems a little far-fetched. No one with an otherwise healthy self-esteem would swallow what he said to her. To make that believable there should have been more backstory. 2) The fact that the guy given oxycodone and was still in pain, then given morphine that took effect immediately suggested the pills were placebos, and I have no medical background. The fact that Gigi was a nurse and that idea did not register blew holes in the logic of the rest of the story. But I did like that once Gigi and Jess got together they stayed together and worked through issues. And I also liked that it gave an HEA epilogue!

- 5 small town, alpha male stars!5 star

5 small town, alpha male stars! Oh my gosh this is just such a beautiful story. Gigi and Jess are amazing together and I love that it wasn't insta-love. You really saw their relationship through ups and downs. And I mean Jess. Uugh. I love him. "You're going. Even if that means I have to pick you up and carry you to the truck." And just when you thought this was just a cute romance story, Devney throws in a twist! Boom. Not just a cute story. Love this. Love Devney. Love Gigi. Love Jess.

- Fantastic Debut Novel5 star

Loved Georgia (Gigi) and Jess (Brick)! Gigi and her daughter, Rowen, move to Preston after their elderly friend , Ben, dies and leaves them his farmhouse. Jess is the town sheriff and thinks Gigi conned his friend and mentor, Ben. Sparks fly and Jess is a major alpha. Truly a sweet story and also some suspense. Can't wait for the next book!

- A favorite book.5 star

This book is now on my list of favorite books of all time. It holds a coveted spot along with a select few other books. I read The Coppersmith Farmhouse and thought to myself how can this be the author's first book. It has the feeling and quality of KA and CoHo. This author is a hidden gem and will definitely become an extremely well known as one of the greats! The writing is stellar, the plot intriguing and captivating! I can't recommend this book enough.

- So much Sass! Loved it!5 star

Sassy heroine and Alpha hero become entwined in love and suspense. Loved this small town romance that inludes big emotions and lots of suspense. You will adore this book!

- Great Debut Novel5 star

Devney Perry’s debut novel reads like she’s been writing for many years. The characters are relatable and the plot line is unpredictable. This is the first in a series of interwoven stand alone novels that are all simply wonderful. I just wish I could jump into the pages and take up residence in the town of Prescott, Wyoming!

pammymak - She’s a pushover3 star

He made decisions over her objections constantly which I found infuriating. Like she doesn’t want him to meet her daughter so early in the relationship but he doesn’t listen or give her a choice. And this happened numerous times. Not sure if this was written in a time when men took over for little women but it sure read like that. Couldn’t read more than half the book.

zkrapz - Predictable2 star

This author is too engrossed with using the “f” word throughout this book and it degrades the book.

1980clk - Great read, loved it!5 star

This book was so easy to read. Had a great story line and I really enjoyed it.

Slp1981 - I’ve fallen in love with this author5 star

t is shocking to believe, this is the first book by Devney Perry. The story is so well written, the characters are relatable and the storyline is fresh and new. I first read this book, not long after it’s release, when I was looking for something similar to KA, The Coppersmith Farmhouse has it all, an alpha hero you hate in the beginning but love more and more as the story progresses and a single Mum heroine, who is so strong, she holds her own each and every time Jess is around and gives back as good as she gets. Georgia (Gigi) moves to Jamison Valley after a close friend passes away, leaving her the old farmhouse he lived in with his wife, but couldn’t bear to be in, after she died. Since Ben left the Farmhouse, his good friend Jess, the County Sheriff, has been taking care of the place, spending ore time there than in his own place in town. Gigi and her daughter, the very cute Rowan, move to town to start a new life, leaving all the bad behind them. Jess resents Georgia when she first comes to town, believing she tricked Ben into a relationship to get the house and his money from him, and because of this, he treats her like dirt, the first few times they meet. Once he realises his mistake, he goes out of his way to make it up to her and get her where he wants her, by his side. With a murderer and a drug dealer on the loose in the county, Jess goes out of his way to keep his girls safe. This series and especially this book are on my top list of rereads and I have read this book numerous times, loving it more and more each time.
