And although she has no regrets...except maybe wishing she hadn’t snuck away...she’s been avoiding both Vaughn and the team in general. The chemistry between this twosome is both explosive and melt-your-heart sweet. Vaughn may be intimidating both on the ice and in the locker room, he’s definitely wrapped around Allie’s little finger, as well as her heart. But both know he’s dying to get back to his old team, and she’s settled deep in Chicago, so this relationship has an expiration date. I can’t express how much I loved these two lovers! Mira Lyn Kelly writes wonderful, rich characters who burrow into the readers heart and mind. But there’s something about Vaughn and Allie that will keep them in mine indefinitely. So bring on more smexy hockey players, Ms. Kelly. But I doubt anyone can knock Vaughn from his spot as my new book boyfriend!

Dirty Secrets. Great read

So good!. I loved Vaughn and Natalie from the minute I started the book. I don’t think I set the book down once I started reading. From the moment Vaughn saw “Allie” at the local bar after she ghosted on him 8 months earlier, and couldn’t stop thinking of her, he thought he might get some answers from her. What he found out was that Allie was really Natalie and his hockey teammate’s little sister, so yeah totally and completely off limits. Especially since he is pretty much in a rivalry with said teammate. But there is just something about the attraction between Vaughn and Natalie (who he still refers to as Allie which is actually freaking sweet!). Neither can stay away from the other even though they try to keep their relationship a secret from the team and especially her brother. This was a fabulous book and I will definitely reread it because Vaughn and Natalie we an amazing couple and I absolutely loved this book. I can’t wait for more in this series!

Immediate reread! ...and it made me late for work!. This book pulled me in from the start. I loved the story and the characters. When I read books, I often highlight passages that I like ... with this one, I was highlighting all the time! What makes a good book for me are the characters and the writing.... and this book has both. The main characters, Vaughn and Natalie, both have family issues hanging over them. Vaughn's father made him the hockey star that he is today, but it's come at a price. Everyone has been seen as competition, and he hasn't gotten close to anyone or really had friends because of that. Old habits die hard and Vaughn starts out on the wrong foot with the Slayers ... and Natalie's brother because of it. Natalie is the girl next door ... who happens to have a NHL superstar brother that captured her parent's attention when she was a kid and caused her to move several times in school. Because she's decided that the sportsman WAG life is not for her, the most ironclad rule she has is not to date hockey players. .... but apparently it's ok to go on a date (vs date-date) one! Ms. Kelly has woven a story with threads of familiar friends as supporting characters, challenges to long held beliefs and swoon worthy steamy romance that sizzles, all amid threats of career ending extra curricular activities. Vaughn and Natalie try to stay away from each other but quickly discover they can't ... and really don't want to! Greg is overly protective of his sister ... and in a hate - hate relationship with Vaughn. The writing, infused with drama, steam, and good old fashioned romance, kept me engaged .. and made me late for work as I couldn't put it down with 20% left to go! The story moves along with each chapter going back and forth between Natalie and Vaughn's perspective, which was the best part of all. Vaughn is all in on Team Natalie and reading from his perspective is utterly sigh-worthy. If you're looking for your next superstar read, download this now. You'll be super happy you did!

As much as she WANTS Vaughn, she knows she can never have him...or can she. Vaughn knows he should stay away from Natalie, even though she’s ALL he can think about. He knows if her brother and team captain finds out about them, he’ll be kicked off the team, thus ending his chances of a trade. Is Allie worth the risk? Their chemistry is explosive! Natalie’s sweetness is the perfect balance to Vaughn’s edginess. Vaughn was very patient! I loved how Vaughn stood up to Natalie’s brother! I can’t wait to go back and read the first novel in the series. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Wow...just wow.. Mira does it again. I fell into this series earlier this year and couldn’t wait when I found out there was another book in the works. I forgot about it for a while but when I remembered, I couldn’t put it down. I finished it in under 24 hours. No one writes longing and heart break and love the way she does. You’re hooked on every chapter watching the war of emotions fighting in each character and between them. It’s sweet, it’s sexy, it’s everything in between. My favorite story of the four so far. Can’t wait for George and Quinn!

“Dirty secret” by Mira Lyn Kelly. It was a much better read than I expected given the first few chapters. I thought it was just another usual athlete and fan story. I didn’t understand why it was such a big deal to keep their relationship a secret. The story had a lot more depth than I expected. An interesting and informative look at the lives of siblings of potential star athletes and their sacrifices. Sweet and funny. Great read. Aside: Great names: Vaughn, Quinn. I’ve never read this author before but I am going to be checking out her other books now.

Amazeballs!. I was searching for a new read! Boy did I get lucky! Hot hockey alpha’s with a great story what is not to love. Vaugn was just the ticket to keep the pages flying! Natalie and him hook up way before - unbeknownst to him she is the sister of the Captain who hates him passionately! Vaugn has not be the easy player and not the first string either but boy does he outshine the rest. Its a slow burn with a full on fire near the end! Iso appreciate the HEA ending too...Hot !

Glad I gave it a shot!. I really enjoyed reading this and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun romance.

Entertaining. Mira Lynn Kelly is a relatively new author to me and I am surprised I have not read more from this author before now. Dirty Secret was an entertaining story that had me hooked form the first chapter. A one night stand between Vaughn and Anatole (aka Allie) started a chain of events that neither expected. Allie knew who Vaughn was but he had no idea who she was. Complications arise as Vaughn and Allie’s brother Greg are enemies, but since they will never be in the same place it won’t be a problem. However, we all know fate likes to play tricks and it seems they are destined to meet again. Can the animosity between Vaughn and Greg be resolved? Or is it destined to destroy the relationship that Vaughn and Allie have blossoming? Their journey was rocky at times but it was a story that I enjoyed.

Entertainment with all the feels. Dirty Secret is book one in the Slayers Hockey Series and as a hockey lover I was excited to pick up a new read from a fairly new author to me. I haven’t read a lot by Mira Lynn Kelly but I have enjoyed everything I have picked up and Vaughn and Anatole (Allie’s) story was no different, in fact I’m going to say if the rest of this series is as good as this book this author will certainly have a hit series on her hands. It was only meant to be one night but who would have guessed that night of passion was going to have knock on effect in this couples life. Allie has one advantage over Vaughn, she knew who he is but he had no idea she is the little sister of his arch enemy……. I was captivated from the first few pages and there was no putting down until the final line was read. I fell hard and fast for Vaughn and Allie is the woman I would love in my corner, their journey was believable and it didn’t take long for me to cheering this couple on. A great start to the new series and I’m excited for what’s to come from the Slayers Hockey Team.

4.5 stars. This book was great! Great storyline, with two likeable leads. I loved the profanity and it was super sexy. I was hooked for the first half, I seriously couldn’t put it down. I marked it down from 5 stars as I expect more pages for that price and there were a few mistakes - Julia referred to as wife, not fiancé. This author is new to me and I’m glad to have made the discovery. Now to read the next one in the series.

Good introduction to the series. I enjoyed the book but it was my least favourite of this series. A good introduction to the slayers boys.
