A bit immature for my taste. I read it all and enjoyed parts, but found the main characters, especially the main male character to be too immature for the roles they were supposed to fulfill in the story. While I know it’s a work of fiction, it’s not very believable that a major Division I university would not make a coach they hired sign a contract of employment and would allow him to just say “I changed my mind” and let him off the hook. I have found many books of this genre a bit silly lately and this is among them.

Aweful. She forgets her own characters storyline. Truly a trash book don’t waste your time or energy.

Great read. I don’t think I have read this author before but she is definitely now on my radar! The book was well written, funny, sexy and a great storyline! I’m ready to read another Bailey story.

Flat. Fell on its face into blackhole, that’s how bad it was!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😱😱 the sisters were ungrateful and stupid. There were so many questions i still had afterwards this whole drawn out crappy “story”. Such a bad bad bad bad ending that was a “cliffhanger” didn’t make me want to read the second book. Total Garbage officially!! 🚽🗑🗑🗑🗑

Lessons from a One Night Stand. What a wonderful and enchanting read about two likeable, warm, NORMAL people finding their way into a loving and affectionate relationship. Adult conversations, strong personalities with equality, lots of understanding without judgment. Very touching with plenty of humor. Loved this story and all its characters.

So good!. What a great read!

I was literally in tears!. I absolutely could not put this book down and was in tears by the end of the book! The emotional connection that I was able to build with the characters allowed me to feel their pain and happiness. I loved this book so much that I bought the rest of the series before finishing it. I read the entire series in less than a week and now I am eagerly awaiting the next installment (which is in April 2020). I am completely hooked!!!!

Simple love story. I found it to be a little boring after 400 pages. I mean the characters are good but the story was a bit too long.

Hooked!. What’s better than reading “Lessons from a one night stand’? Finishing it and knowing there are 8 more Baileys to read about! This book is utterly delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed every thing about it and am happy to know I’ll be hanging out in Lake Starlight for quite awhile!

This is a must read!. I couldn’t stop reading this book. I fell in love with the characters and the story lin. Piper is one of my new favorite authors.

Fantastic!. Piper Rayne is starting off their new series, The Bailey’s, with a bang ;) Lessons from a One Night Stand hits you smack dab in the heart right outta the gate with the first book in this brand new series! I am a full fledged Piper Rayne “unicorn” fan and I LOVE this storyline...and it reminds me of my most favorite show of all time, Party of Five (I’m definitely showing my age here)! This book is full of all the feels from Austin and Holly, the High School Coach and the new Principal who had one hell of a weekend together and now...well, work together. This little predicament Austin and Holly got themselves into just keeps snowballing and before you know it, everyone from the their families to the town is involved in their not so secret relationship. Problem is, IS there a relationship? I enjoyed every moment of this book and of the Bailey family! Lessons from a One Night Stand was fun, sexy, flirty, and had some definite tug at your heartstring moments that will leave you turning the pages looking for more once you get to the end! I cannot wait to see what’s next!

Loved it!. Great, easy read, love the characters! Not over dramatic and a feel good story with a great look on dreams changing as we get older! On to the next book in the series!

Fun read. This is my first time reading Piper Rayne book. It was a free book. Really enjoyable read. Austin & Holly have such a chemistry and makes you wonder if any of your HS teachers had such a chemistry & what rumors would have been like. Like that it didn’t delve a separate history from the present. The story included the history from both characters and blends them in the present. They had 3 months to realize they were perfect for each other. Austin has to decide about what is more important in life...job or love. Holly decides that if you love someone you must set them free & let them choose what is important even if your heart breaks. Good rom-com, made me laugh while showing how perfect they are together even when they won’t admit it.

Couldn’t put it down. Excellent and thoroughly enjoyable! I enjoyed the author’s style and am definitely looking forward to reading the entire series.

It made me cry. When a book makes me cry, I tend to think writer is connected emotionally. I really liked it.

Great new series. Piper Rayne is one of my go to authors for a fun contemporary romance. This is the first in the new series The Baileys. Austin Bailey is the oldest of nine children. When his parents die suddenly, he leaves behind his dream of becoming a pro Baseball player to raise his siblings at the age of 21. Nine years later, he is teaching and coaching at Lake Starlight Alaska and the last two siblings are graduating from High School. He is planning on finally pursuing his dream of coaching at a college level and leaving his hometown. The problem is, the woman he had a one night stand with turns out to be the new substitute Principal at the high school he teaches at. Both are there for three months before they leave, will they have just a fun fling, or will it become more. Love all of the characters and cannot wait to read the rest of the Bailey’s stories.

Lessons from a one night stand. In my opinion the story was too much fiction and not enough reality. I’m sure it happens for a principal and a teacher to get down in a car in an alley but I really doubt they’d be working once the word got out. Additionally, I was totally disappointed with the number of typos and suggest they hire a proof reader.

Lessons From A One Night Stand. Once again these two authors have written a wickedly awesome story with so many moving parts. We are introduced to the Bailey family of Lake Starlight Alaska. First we meet Austin the oldest brother he is sexy, handsome, successful with chemistry off the charts. He is the high school baseball coach who gave up his dreams of playing professionally when his parents died and he came home to raise his family. Austin is asked at a high school assembly to introduce the new interim principle Holly Radcliffe. Holly is beautiful, spunky, a graduate of Yale here only for three months. Austin has Holly’s biography to use as an introduction, but when asked to stall for a few minutes at the podium he tells the students Holly’s hobbies are streaking, ferrets, and taking surveys for money. When Holly finally appears he realizes his new boss was his one night stand. The story starts there and it’s a roller coaster of situation after situation that make you laugh and cry. This story pulls all the heart strings. Definitely my new favorite from this duo it’s five plus stars.

Do not recommend. could barely get through 7 chapters before I quit reading the book was completely childish the high schoolers acted like they were in elementary school and the adult acted like they were the ones in high school. I don’t understand how this book got so many high ratings. I felt like I was reading a book that was written by a 7th grade girl. I would definitely not recommend

This is Austin and Holly’s story , they ended up having sex in Austin’s jeep the first night they met. They ended up working together her as the school principal and him the coach . Austin and his sister being the eldest of the 9 children were left to take care of them after their parents were killed in an accident . Read and see what happens with these two when their plans take a turn in another direction as they realize their love for each other .

Those Baileys!. I loved this book, in fact it was the best read I’ve had for a very long time. I laughed, cried, snickered, and got uncomfortable looks from the people watching me read the most “interesting” parts. Fantastic. Brava!

Love this family. Great story, I just can’t not fall in love with Austin. There’s lots of love and funny moments in the story. Must read-loved it. I’m jumping to book 4 for Savannah story 💕

“Lessons from a one night stand” by piper rayne. Austin seems like a douche in the beginning but turns out to be a real stand-up guy. Holly seems cold too at first but soon warms up. What a huge family! I’m incredibly Impressed that Austin and Savannah stepped up to the plate. Their town, their family is beautiful and warm and caring. What a wonderful story about GENUINE people.

The Start of your Favourite Series!. These lovable characters pull you in and introduce you to their beautiful town and the tight-knit Bailey family. Getting to see them grow throughout the series is fantastic. They are funny and honest. Every book surprised me with how much I enjoyed each sibling’s story.

Boring. This book started out promising with its alternating POV and sarcastic narrative but it quickly lost my interest and the gushy ending kinda make me queasy- it was a little much.

All the feels!. Love this story! I was hooked from the start!

This book will capture your heart and soul!. If ever a book situated in a small town in Alaska could capture your heart and soul! This one will do it!!! Small town charm with a huge family feel!!! Im at a loss of words as to how emotionally wonderful this story was! There were so many elements of this book that tugged at my heart and the Bailey family are such a formidable force of the town! Holly is a relieving Principal at the high school but what should happen when she goes on stage at her introduction than coming face to face with her One night stand! Oh my do things get very interesting indeed as time progresses, drama, gossip, family alliance and steamy moments all come into play!! I loved Austin’s heart and drive! He really was the leading or driving force of his family and when Holly is in his life, well lets just say you are in for one hell of a ride! I definitely think the authors have another outstanding series up their sleeves! Bring on the next book!!

Brilliant. Straight off the bat, I want to know if there are any employment opportunities in Lake Starlight, Alaska as I am ready to pack my bags and go. Having read a couple of other books by Piper Rayne I immediately one clicked this little gem as soon as it released. I absolutely fell hard and fast for Austin and the entire Bailey clan. What a fabulous family they are and I wouldn’t mind being a part of it to be honest. Austin is the head of the family, he gave up his dreams to coach College Baseball after the sudden death of his parents 9 years ago and came home to raise his siblings. What an honourable man he is, totally swoon worthy. Of course he is a man with needs and he has a hot and sizzling one night stand. Only issue is the woman he has it with Holly, turns out to be the new relieving principal at the high school where he teaches. Complications arise as their attraction continues to grow. Can they hide their involvement and keep it under the radar? Both Austin and Holly plan to leave Lake Starlight for greener pastures at the end of the school year. Can they keep it casual or will their hearts become entangled and heartbreak ensure? Piper Rayne is off to a flying start in this new series if Lessons From a One Night Stand is anything to go by. There is nothing that I did not love about this book. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading this dynamic due, then do yourself a favour and check them out.

One-Amazing Read. Lessons From a One-Night Stand by Piper Rayne The Baileys #1 I’m a little bit lost for words. It’s simply that this book was just amazing! It had me laughing one minute, sad the next and the swooning over Austin the next! The two main characters in are both amazing and in the beginning they might think they want different things, in the end that all changes. Austin has been through a lot for only being 30 years of age, he made the choice right out of college to instead of following his dreams and becoming a pro-ball player, he choose to come home and be the parent figure to 7 of his younger siblings as his parent were no longer around. It was a big decision and something he would do over in a heart beat, but now it’s finally time for his youngest siblings to graduate high school, which means that he can finally try and Follow his dreams. Moving to Alaska for the last few months of the school year to be Lake Starlights new principal seemed like a great idea when the opportunity came up, as part of holly has always wanted to meet the man who helped contribute to who she is. Even if shes has to lie about it to her mum holly knows this could be her only change, so she jumps and the opportunity right away. But when she meets the mysterious man in the bar who offers to take her home, what she doesn’t know is that he will change her life forever. I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait for the next book in the series, Advice from a Jilted Bride. #siansreadingadventure

Awesome brand new series starting out.. Lessons From A One Night Stand is the first in a brand new nine part series by Piper Rayne. Yes, you read that correct. We’re getting nine new books instead of the usual three, and from this first one, it’s going to be a cracker of a series. The Bailey’s, which is the name of the family and the series, btw, are a large family of siblings. There’s nine of them and each are going to get their own juicy, sexy piece of the Piper Rayne storytelling pie. We’ve moved location further north, yet again, with this book and now it’s the turn of Lake Starlight, Alaska to shine its beauty on us. It’s no secret that I love all thinks Piper Rayne related, and for the last two years, this dynamic duo have never failed to wow me, ever since they released their debut co-written ‘Charmed By The Bartender’ in 2017. This new series is no exception, other than to say that maybe, it’s even better. I loved the setting, loved the characters, and getting to know them all. This is a very close-knit family but they have had some heartbreak in the past that has made them who they are today. There’s a seriousness about the storyline as well as the expected humor, and I did find myself laughing, but also close to tears at times. The whole book was well written, the pace was perfect and the main characters brought it all together, but some parts were so beautiful and wonderfully played out on the page, I just sighed with pleasure. This book is set mainly in a high school as the leads are a teacher and a principal, but even here in this setting, Piper has planted seeds for more non-Bailey’s related stories to grow from this nine-parter, or I think so anyway!!! I’m already looking forward to the next installment, when it hits our kindles in six weeks.

Great beginning of a series of books. Great story. Really enjoyed reading how Austin and Holly’s live story played out. I’d give the 4 and a half ⭐️ because there are a few spelling and grammatical errors. But on the whole this is a series of books I’d be willing to pay for. Excellent

Lessons in one night stand. OMG this book so good that it will your heart in seconds. Let’s not forget Austin and his family such a wonderful characters . I hope to see more books from this writer it’s a shame it’s not free it would have been nice to read it in Corona isolation right now.
