Here we go... Well the angst queen is at it again. After reading one cruel night I knew this book was going to be a good one and I was right. I love both of these characters, so much and really wanted them to get the HEA. But I should know better when it comes to K.A. Linde. Also, I HATE KATHERINE.

This if the the entire series, because yes I read it all in 2 day!!🥰 I rarely get so hooked on the first of a series that I have to finish it, but with this series I would have gone mad if I hadn’t!! It was incredible❤️ if your looking for a real heart stopping tear jerking piss you off sometimes book, series this is it!!!! From start to finish I was entranced by the characters, the plots, the deceits, the love, and I’m so glad I gave this series a try as it is my new favorite🤩💕

Stomach twisting angst that leaves you guessing. 5 stars This story is completely addicting! It’s the kind of story that first started my addiction with Ms. Linde’s writing. It’s captivating from the very first word. The angst and wonder that keeps you guessing throughout the entire story is what will make you come back for more. Make sure to read One Cruel Night first. It sets the scene for Cruel Money. This story is packed full of characters that you love to hate. “The Crew”, as they’re called, is full of a group of socialites that are so good at playing the game that you don’t know whether it’s safe to trust them or not. The ones that come off as genuine are most likely the least trustworthy ones. But that’s part of the stomach-twisting angst that I continue to come back for. I HAVE to know what happens. At the end of Cruel Money, I got a sense of what first drew me in to the author’s writing. I was left with that nerve-wrecking tightness throughout my body that keeps me guessing and submitting myself to this torture. I just don’t know that I can wait to see what comes next.

Addicting. Couldn’t put it down! Then I bought the other two books!

People can be cruel. I loved Amy and her grit and personality. I want to like Penn but he still needs to grow up and take a true look at himself. You can’t or shouldn’t play with people’s emotions and hearts. As for Katherine, she’s nothing but a spoiled low life who “thinks” she’s upper class. Not even close. I guess I’ll need to purchase the next book to see how this messed up relationship turns out. May the good guys/ gal win.

So he’s changed…for the better though?. So, normally when a book hits my e-reader, I might not jump in right away. That wasn't the case with this book. I'd gotten to the third chapter when I learned about the prequel (One Cruel Night, it's free on Amazon!) that gives the backstory on what happened years ago between the main characters, and why she's so angrivated with him. Then I had to do a bit more digging because his name was familiar when I realized which book series he was in prior to this trilogy (so happy my gray matter works well enough to remember these details lol). This first book of the trilogy is just this side of angsty; I'm not sure what's worse: (1) getting caught skinny dipping or (2) getting caught skinny dipping by your one night stand or (3) the one night stand's recollection of you Once our intrepid heroine realizes exactly who he is, she's ready to hightail outta there (can you blame her though?) Despite her intense reservations, his "Crew" of friends seemingly embraces her into their small group and that's when things really begin to ramp up; she's the exact opposite of the "Crew", yet somehow she blends in with them. The tension and chemistry are still there between our daunting couple, and I love seeing the changes he's trying to make in his life, despite his family's name and vast amount of wealth. I can't wait to see how their story is gonna play out over the next two books.

Fabulous Read. This book grabs your attention from the very beginning. I felt like I couldn’t read it fast enough, every page had a turn of events no one could see coming. The writing is absolute art work.

Sexy, angsty and I loved it!. I have only recently discovered K.A. Linde and honestly, I am not sure what rock I was living under. I completely devoured Cruel Money. It was full of angst, emotional and all kinds of steaminess. There is a prequel available that you do not have to read, but it is free, so good and sets a foundation, so go one click One Cruel Night now! Cruel Money tells the story of Penn and Natalie. They shared one unforgettable night years ago and now they are once again face-to-face. On the night they met, they were on equal footing, but now, we know Penn is from the best of families in New York with responsibilities and expectations. Natalie finds herself working where he is spending his summer. But their attraction and chemistry is still undeniable. I could not stop reading Cruel Money by K.A. Linde. I loved how strong and determined Natalie was, no matter what others thought of her. Penn was everything! I loved him, even if it times, I wanted to hit him. Great Chemistry. Natalie and Penn have such great chemistry, you just can’t help but root for this couple to get their happy ending! Penn is swoon worthy…when he is not being stupid with his crew 👍🏽

New Adult Perfection. Loved this story!

LOVEEE. Omg this book!! I want more... I need more!! This is going to be the most epic series!!! Penn is unbelievable, and Nat is just your average girl with a pretty awesome dream job!!!

Good start to new series. 4 stars for - Cruel Money - book one in the Cruel series by K.A. Linde. This book reminds me so much of Gossip Girls with a bit of Revenge thrown in there too. A diverse group of friends composed of New York’s elite spend entirely too much time plotting ways to one up each other in this enemies to lovers story of second chance romance. Natalie Bishop is a writer who also house sits for the extremely wealthy. Taking the newest assignment in the Hamptons was supposed to be an easy job for the summer while she finishes her manuscript. What she didn’t expect was to see the one man who broke her heart years ago. Penn Kensington needed to get out of the city and away from all the drama. Going to his family home in the Hamptons seemed like the perfect idea until he arrived to find a gloriously naked Natalie naked on the beach. He had a feeling his luck may be changing after all since finding Natalie after all this time. As this book did end in a cliffhanger I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series!

Love love love!. Out of all of Linde’s contemporary books this ranks in the top 5. I love this story so much!! These characters are wonderful and relatable the setting is one of my favs, New York! And Totle is my favorite character ever! You’ll just have to read it to discover who that is!

Kept me reading. The difference in classes, the sex, the romance and the betrayal all went so well together I can’t not read the next book.

Couldn’t read fast enough!. And the Angst Queen strikes again! Wow! Where to begin... I loved Penn. I hated Penn. I guess you could say, I’m hating to love him! This book had my emotions all over the place and I loved every second of it!

Cruel Money. Holy Moly!!! What a gem when you at least expect it. Whew! I totally loved, loved, loved this book. Just wish I saw it was a series that’s not have been completed. But? Did I say I loved these rich bullies. Can’t wait for the next one in April. I can say it’s going to be one of my all time favorites of 2019.

Cruel Money. Really loved this story, just wish it had been a stand alone. I don’t buy books, so I’ll just assume a happy ending.

Twist and Turns. There was Prequel to this book and I would definitely read that first. Gossip Girls/Mean Girls and Cruel Intention come together for a must read. I will say that it ends with a cliffhanger. Penn and Natalie share a past (Read the Prequel) and it is rough. I'm so happy that the author gave Natalie a backbone. That being said that it will be hard to fall for Penn. You will have a love/hate relationship with Penn. You will see a transformation with both characters. I can't wait for the next book.

Okay I guess. It was okay but the end was kinda rushed… and the whole Lewis plot had so much more potential than how it was portrayed.

I devoured this book!. Hands down this is an absolute favorite of 2019! So much drama, sizzling chemistry and characters that will make you think, are they who they portray themselves to be? I devoured this story that centers on Natalie and Penn! Natalie is house sitting as a job and is a budding writer! Penn is the one that got away 6 years ago, or is he? There was so much to love about this story that I was riveted to my seat/couch! Needless to say the dilemmas surrounding Natalie, Penn and friends as well as family will make you laugh, feel heated, sigh and get angry at characters when they do something so incredibly disheartening you don’t know what to think!? I feel rung out to be quite honest! I feel like I could have read so much more! I loved how Natalie stood her ground, told it like it is and I especially loved that when push came to shove she fought for herself! Penn was a very likable guy but underneath, is what side hes showing Natalie his true self ? I just cant begin to tell you how this book made me feel! All the things, all the feelings, all the love, hurt and betrayal! But when it truly matters, who do you believe?? The characters in this story enthralled me! They captivated me and I felt that I wanted to shake some of them for how they treated a character! Im overjoyed how it ended but at the same time Im absolutely desperate for more, I cannot wait for more of this series! The author has nailed the story and I cannot wait to see how things progress!!

Great start to a new series. 4.5 Stars for Cruel Money book 1 in the new Cruel series and what a way to start a series !! Penn and Natalie share a past and it’s not the type of past you want to remember so what happens when this couple meet up 6 years down the line well i guess you will need to read the book to find that out because this is a book you won’t want to miss because this is a story that will intrigue and captivate you and you won’t be able to put it down ..... Things and people are not always what they seem and that’s what’s so interesting with Cruel Money, it’s nothing like anything I have read before and it certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book is filled with drama and angst and I really didn’t want it to end so now I wait with bated breath for book 2 in the series let’s hope it’s not to far away. Loved this must read
