Great read to start the new year. Loved it


Excellent. I would normally never read a “self help book,” but this one has so many good reviews from (seemingly) non-pretentious people that I decided to give it a try. It’s a super easy read and I think a lot of the tips and tricks here are useful and novel. The author layers in some great stories and attention-grabbing ideas that keep this book from feeling too much like a list of to-dos if that makes sense. I’ll definitely be using some of these tactics and I’d be interested in reading more from James. Plus he’s from Columbus!

Favorite Self Help read of ALL! TIME!. As someone who has undiagnosed adhd 😅 I struggle with procrastination, non-commitment, impulsive behavior, perfectionism and the list goes on and on. This book not only helped me to understand my habits on an atomic level but gave me the confidence and the know-how to make effective changes in my life WITHOUT ALL THE PRESSURE! A 1% positive increase over time can compound into astronomical differences in your life. This is a habit ‘bible’!

Five stars. Really forces you to reflect and improve your daily habits. This is one of those books that I think everybody should read once. An eye opener.


Too practical. This book is too practice lacking theory ,statistics, good examples, or abstract concepts. It’s not thought provoking. I also didn’t experience any single ah ha moment while reading. I would would suggest that reading a summary is more than enough.


Clear and straightforward. I love this book so much. I love how the author presents his ideas in clear and straightforward ways, this makes the ideas easy to understand and the concepts easy to apply and implement into ones life. I highly recommend.


Life Altering. This book saved my life. Bold statement I know but when you start to understand how small little negative habits are eating away at your success, happiness, joy and love it becomes scary to think of what 5 or 10 years down the road looks like. I listened to this book in December of 2018. I only started to apply these tools in February of 2019. I was at my lowest at that point. I was 192lb, drinking at least 2 drinks a day and rarely exercising. I let my business falter and my marriage was heading down a terrible path. This book sparked me, but not only that gave me tangible tools to make the tiny micro changes I needed to do I could get back on track. It started with 5 push-ups and 5 sit-ups. We are almost a year later to the date and I have lost 20lbs. I have completed 75 Hard and am not only in the best shape of my life I feel like I am in elite shape comparatively. My business is thriving and I have had so many opportunities hit my plate in the last 2 months that I can barely keep up. I have fully prescribed to the notion of setting huge goals and then setting the smallest habits to get their. Thank you for writing this book and truly saving my life. I cannot express in words how different 2019 would be had I not read this book.


A must-read if you want to make fundamental changes. You can't argue with someone if the arguments that he gave you are well-founded. That is the case with this book. It makes it easy to understand why I had such a hard time changing and how I can solve that with a real strategy.
