Emotional and touching second chance romance!. Breaking Without You by Carrie Ann Ryan is the first book in her Fractured Connections series and the first book I have read of hers. It was a touching and emotional second chance romance. This story was sad and deals with some difficult subjects, but very tactfully. When they lose a friend suddenly and tragically, Violet, Sienna and Harmony are reunited with the Connolly brothers, which is the last thing Violet ever wanted. Years ago, Cameron Connolly left with no explanation. He left many behind who he loved and loved him, including Violet Knight. It was the hardest decision he has ever made, but there was a reason he did what he did. Violet was left broken hearted after Cameron left and his brothers felt abandoned. I loved Cameron and Violet so much. Cameron had so much on his shoulders and though he wanted to do the right thing, sometimes the right thing for one, hurts another. Violet is so lost and broken, having Cameron back in her life could be the best or worth thing in her life right now. Breaking Without You by Carrie Ann Ryan is a captivating story about loss, grief, family, friends and second chances. I loved not only Cameron and Violet, but all the characters in this story. Such a good new series!. Holy cow can Carrie Ann write!!! I've always loved how well written her stories are, but this one has a SUPER hard subject and she did it SO WELL! These friends are dealing with a crippling loss when we are introduced to everyone, and you truly get to feel their feelings as they deal with it. Violet had gone through so much between this and her stupid ex that it was almost a little refreshing to see someone who wasn't completely put together. Really all three women were working on putting themselves together, but since this was Violet's book we got to see hers up close. I loved that. I also loved adding in Cameron, the one who disappeared. From the time that Violet awkwardly see Cameron again I knew they had the best story. There was so much untold between them, and I knew it'd be such a ride finding out what happened there. Their love was the best roller coaster. We truly got the best seat as they talked through, sexed through and repaired their relationship. I also loved how she really used the word Fractured in this book. Both Violet and Cameron had many fractures that they needed to repair. It was so amazing watch them repair too. Now we have to talk about everyone else. I LOVED these girls so much, Harmony and Sienna were so great, and I loved the addition of the Connolly brothers, Aiden, Brendon and even Dillon. It was so mesmerizing to watch when the group got together, and I especially loved Dillon's quirks. Watching the girls come to grips with their new lives, and the brothers do the same. It was so special. I cannot wait to read these next books and go on their roller coasters too

Ryan knocks another one outta the park!. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book I love starting a new series, especially one by a favorite author. Why you ask, because it’s like coming into a new group of friends, but of people that you already know but now you get to really know them and come to love them. In Breaking Without You we have Violet Knight and we meet Cameron Connolly. Violet we have briefly met before as she is Mace’s sister from Fallen Ink: Montgomery Ink Colorado Springs Book 1. This story is a heartbreaker for sure, what Violet and her tribe are going through is one of the toughest things a group of friends can go through. Suicide is something that is very prevalent in the world today and when it happens it is awful and when it is someone that is close to you it’s even more devastating. That is what brings Violet and Cameron into each other’s life’s........ again. See not only is this a love story, it’s a second chance love story and those are always good. The chemistry between them is off the charts, but that was never the problem for them when they were together in college. No the problem was when Cameron just left without a word or reason. I love that Ryan always gives us true life in her stories. From how Violet and her friends are coping with their grief, to Cameron and his brothers trying to come together again after years apart, to the why of Cameron leaving. All of it is vey real life things that could happen to and does happen to every day people. Also, what I love about her writing is that if you haven’t read the series that a new series has spun off of it doesn’t matter, you won’t be lost because you can read them as stand alones. A warning though, you won’t want too if you are anything think me you gotta know everything and everyone so like Pokèmon you gotta get them all. Lol I can’t wait to see more of this series, it’s gonna be a good one.

An emotional ride. This was an emotional story, I’m not going to lie. Definitely more emotional for me because what they are going through I have also been through. So I absolutely understand and relate. At times it felt like it was being taken from my own head, from my own heart, things I’ve felt & thought before. Violet, Sienna & Harmony’s journey is far from over. I look forward to more of their journey, both with each other, and with those they share themselves with. Cameron’s journey was also an intense one, but with the bad comes the good. I look forward to more

A must read new series. I received an ARC for an honest review. This is the first installment in the Fractured Connections series. We get to meet Violet and Cameron, who haven’t seen each other for years. Cameron left Violet with a broken heart and many questions. I don’t want to give too much away but Cameron’s choices also effected his relationship with his family. This one was a tear jerker for me. This was definitely a great first to CAR’s new series. You won’t want to miss this one.

A good different!. This story is completely different than others from Carrie Ann. This book deals with death and the mourning that follows. With that in mind, I feel this story was well written for the difficult topics that were covered. Cameron and Violet are a second chance romance story as well. I am intrigued to read about the rest of the Connolly brothers!

Breaking without you. I loved breaking without you loved all the characters loved the Connelly brother So sad about losing one of the friends suicide is always hard on the people they leave behind and they have to try to figure out why it happened and what they missed and what they could have done So I give this book five stars Thank you for a well written book

All the Feels!!. This book captured my attention from page one with the heart breaking first chapter to then opening of old wounds. Violet and Cameron had me on an emotional rollercoaster, however I couldn't help but root for them. Violet is so hurt and lost in the book, however she knows how she felt about Cameron and when he asked for forgiveness and apologized for how he left years ago, she is able to open herself up to the possibility of them again. Cameron and Violet are a safe place for each other and they need to just remember they are not alone. Loved the story, feels and all!!!

So excited to read more about the Connelly brothers!!!. Loved this book from start to finish. It was a very emotional book starting with a group of friends lose their best friend. While struggling with her emotions she ends up in the arms of a long time love Cameron. Loved how all the Connelly brothers developed and can’t wait for more!!! Excellent job Carrie!!!

Too sad, tedious. I usually love all her books, but the sadness in this was so pervasive, and there was no lighten up - stopped 1/2 way through. Preface should have read, “Be prepared for 100% depression.” To be fair, it’s only 100% to the 1/2 way point. I found myself getting bummed out. Life is already difficult. Just me, but I want my spare time to lift me up not drag me down.

Could’ve been Better. But ok Story. The base of the story was good but I think it could’ve been a bit more entertaining. Also, the characters’ thoughts became redundant in each chapter. Overall, it was just an “okay” story to read.

So emotional. Oh my goodness this book was so emotional. These two had not seen each other in years. Keep your tissues handy you will definitely need them when you are reading. I can’t wait to read her next book. I absolutely love all of her books.

Breaking without you. I both loved and hated this book. I loved it because it is so real. Having had people in my life suffer depression, having lived through the turmoil after, having asked the same questions of what could I have done. Reading a book bring these real issues to light in a realistic way soothes an ache in my heart. I hated it because it brings back those memories, but even that I have to love because sometimes we go too long trying to push away the pain instead of remembering the good things that made those people so loved. Violet Knight is desperately trying to come to some understanding of what happened to her friend Allison. She feels like there must be something she missed, or was to busy to notice the cry for help. Now as she attends her friends funeral and wake it becomes a reality that she and her two other best friends must learn their new dynamic as a group of three instead of four. Cameron Connelly took off seven years ago and left his brothers, foster parents, and girlfriend behind. He was left raising his younger brother and running a bar in California until his foster fathers death called him home. Now he and his brothers must learn to trust each other again if they want the bar to survive.

Long winded. Lots of extra fluff in it the wasn’t needed.

Alll the feels!!!!. Breaking Without You was an amazing story that had tears flowing. This story really hit home and I am so glad I got to read it. The characters are all interesting and I can’t wait to read everyone else’s story! Love this new series.

WOW what a start !!. What a great start to another fantastic series. This is a very emotional and very very good. Carrie you seem to hit the nail on the head with everything that goes on in ones mind after a death without any explanation. I highly recommend this book and author to read as Carrie is amazing. I received a free copy of this book for a voluntarily review.

Cameron and Violet. Cameron and Violet's second chance is a romance but it also touches on heavier topics. This book is thought provoking. The issue of suicide is not an easy topic but this book covers the story of Violet loosing a close friend and wondering why, all while falling back in love with her first love, and does it with sensitivity. The characters are all relatable and it is always fun when characters from other series put in a cameo. I love the Montgomery's obsession with cheese. This is a great start to a new series and I look forward to more of the Connolly brothers.

New Series by Carrie. What an emotional read. Carrie you have done it again, I seriously don’t know how it is that you are still, after so many books able to come up with these unique and wonderful stories. Breaking Without You is book 1 in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Fractured Connection Series which is apart of The Montgomery world but like the rest of Carrie’s book can be read as a stand-alone. This book follows Violet Knight the sister to Mace Knight from Fallen Ink and Cameron Connolly. This book is full of raw heartache emotions. Violet with her sister Sienna and friend Harmony are left to deal with the loss of their best friend Allison who is dead. Allison is not a character in the book that you will get to actually meet but she is spoken about a lot in the story. The aftermath of finding your best friend dead, having you ex boyfriend show up after 7 years and her ex husband and new wife is more than anyone should have to deal with. Coming back home to help build up a failing brewery was not something that Cameron thought he would have to do. But coming home to do just that may be the best thing he could do to help build his bond with his brothers Aiden and Brendon and to get his girl back. But it’s not going to be easy when the Connolly brothers can’t agree on what needs to be done to keep the Connolly Brewery from shutting down.

Great first book in series. Book one Breaking Without You in Fractured Connections Series by Carrie Ann Ryan This book starts with all the Knights sisters and Connolly’s brothers attending there friends Alison funeral after she committed suicide without a note saying why. Cameron is an adopted Connolly like his twin brother Aiden and other adopted brother Brandon but after his adoptive mum and dad died and his birth mother called begging for help he discovers another brother called Dillion how now only 18. Cameron tried to call his brothers to say they had a younger brother but non of his brothers answered his calls so his stopped calling so a lot of time and distance caused a massive friction between everyone. Violet is Mace’s sister from Fallen Ink (Montgomery Ink Colorado Springs Series) This book starts with Violets Harmony and Sienna attending there bff funeral and meeting up with the Connolly’s especially Cameron Violet’s ex. There’s massive backstory and a lot of history between most of the characters but mostly Violet and Cameron and how they broke up but also how they develop their new relationship and not repeat old mistakes. I really loved that this was all about relationships between brothers sisters friends and parents not too much drama and a great second chase story.

Wonderful heart wrenching new series. This new series, set in Denver, with the sisters of Mace (from Carrie Ann Ryan’s Colorado Springs series) and their friends and the Connolly brothers, has started with a heart wrenching and gripping book. This book is deep, gritty and real. It has tough topics that have been addressed with delicacy and sensitivity, whilst not glossing over the seriousness and deep impact they have. It is a beautiful story, with amazing characters who show their difficulties, their vulnerability and the fact that they are human and make mistakes. It is also a wonderful love story between Violet and Cameron, as well as the love between sisters and friends and a family of brothers fractured by bad decisions, outside forces and neglect. I really recommend this book, and can’t wait to read more in the series, as this is a beautiful, gritty and real storyline, with love and hope surrounding it, making it a ray of light in the dark times.
