Dark Path, A Bodhi King Novel. This novel is part of a series, however it is also a stand alone. This is my first read. I found it to be intriguing and well written from beginning to end. The characters are relatable and you can put yourself in their shoes. This has also introduced me to the author, Melissa F. Miller. I will definitely be reading her other novels.

Español por favor. I enjoyed the book. I think the discovery of the cause of death came too suddenly. Some cultural assumptions were irritating. Not all Cubans have brown eyes. Cubans don’t call their grandmothers “lita.” The accent marks are missing on several last names. Spanish-speakers notice these errors.

Didn’t want to put it down!. Normally, I only read books at night. Yet, Dark Path had me reading during Red Sox and Bruins games, and all during shark week. I’ll take this book over TV any day! Great read, highly recommend. Fascinating topic to research about after as well :)

The media and all by solving, cost him a job he loved. Bodhi sought solitude, in remote locations now. The puzzle intrigued him, but not enough to go back. His mind was quiet, but he was jumpy, a decision needed to be made. This was an intriguing, gripping story, that once started had to finish. Dealing with the church, a charismatic pastor, offering you a place, with rewards. The older people, often were catholic and believed in oil and gold candles. Readers will be fascinated with this new series. Great, to know that the next book will be in Nov, and then Dec.

Great introduction to a great character. As with her other books, Ms. Miller kept me up late reading this first Bodhi book. The new characters were intriguing and well written and the story line kept me guessing until the end. I can’t wait to read book 2 about Bodhi! I was provided an advance copy of this book.

I've found a new character to follow, Bodhi King.. I enjoy mysteries combined with medicine, in this case forensic medicine. Bodhi King is a believable character. Good to have found new books to read! I recommend this. Easy to read, not hokey but believable.

Amazing story that has you guessing until the end. I’ve been reading a few of this authors book lately an found them so captivating that I could barely put them down!

Dark Path. One of the very best mystery books. The characters are well developed and come to life amongst facts and fascinating out of the ordinary information. Different from other mystery books, no spoilers, a highly recommended read.

Great read. Enjoyed this spin-off of the Sasha McCandless series. This book has Bodhi consulting on another death cluster at a retirement home on a private island. The chapters alternate between the viewpoints of Bodhi, the Pastor of the church on the island, staff at the retirement home and a few others. This book explores aspects of different religions, and Bodhi has a calm and logical way of looking at things, all of which is interesting to read.
