An interesting story telling but too much conservative points of view. I enjoyed reading this book and it is an interesting story but as I was reading the book, I could not help but thinking that the bad guys resembles the Clintons. I think as Jack Carr was writing this book, he was thinking about Hilary Clinton to be the next president of the US and did whatever he could to reflect his thoughts on her. I am not particularly found of Hilary but this was a big turn off for me and I don’t think I would read another Jack Carr book again.

Addicting. I don’t read very often, but I bought this book (series) to get caught up before it comes out on prime video. I could not put it down. Starting book 2 now.

Tedious!. Carr’s detail might impress some readers, but I found it excessive, boring, and off-putting! If Carr toned down the gringing details & minutiae, the story would be much more enjoyable! I have the same criticism is book #2, True Believer! I bought it, hoping for less, but now am struggling to get through the book. If I manage to finish True Believer, I done with Carr.

Write what you know.. The old adage for writers is to write about what you know. The plethora of detail in Carr’s book demonstrates he followed that advice. (I had forgotten about clearing weapons into a dirt barrel, sand for him.) The plot seems less and less impossible as time goes by.

Excellent book and series. Great story line. Don’t believe the words of left liberals doing their best to put down this book. Worth your time. Can’t wait to find out what comes next for these characters!

One of the best reads in a long time.. I find it hard to get into a book. The Terminal List has everything I could want in a great read. You won’t put the book down until it’s done. On to the next one.

Great book!. I can’t put it down. The detail is awesome, the plot is unambiguous but held my attention. I’d rank it up there with the fifth assassin series by Brad meltzner. And to those complaining about “liberal bashing” in the book, you brought that on yourselves. Long and short of it is it’s a great, action packed read. Will definitely be picking up true believer and savage son asap.

Weak spy novel. While an easy read, the story was too predictable. One small twist but otherwise as straightforward as an episode of 24. Meh.

Great read! Long review but hear me out.. This is the 2nd book that I have ever read in my life and it won’t be the last! I bought Savage Son on audiobook cause I had heard about it on some podcast and I loved it! I didn’t know that it was the 3rd book in Jack Carr’s series so I bought Terminal List. Not knowing it was the book and not the audio version I was kinda disappointed. But after I started reading it I couldn’t put my phone down!! I can’t wait to read True Believer!! Keep ‘em coming Mr Carr!

Amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book

No PC zone. It was so refreshing to read a book that didn’t have PC characters, themes, and language. I stopped reading novels years ago because it seemed like all my favorite authors had caved to the pressure to add in some kind of politically correct character or theme. Terminal list had none of that. It was a no nonsense solid plot with good guys and bad guys and a powerful, intelligent lead character. I don’t know much about guns and military but I still enjoyed the details that the author frequently added. I highly recommend Terminal List to anyone who loves murder mystery, action adventure, and military political thrillers… and I especially recommend it to anyone who wants a break from our PC inundated culture!

WOW. This book got me hooked into Jack Carr. I had heard good reviews of the show. Seen episode 1 & knew I needed to read the book. If you’re a reader you know the adaptions never do the books justice. This was a perfect example. The amount of details Jack Carr put into this book is incredible. I was hooked from the moment I picked the book up. I am now onto the third book in less than 2 months! Highly recommend.

The Terminal List. The story was good, predictable. Too much “gun nut” detail. Way too much right wing political nuggets along the way. Reece was “perfect”, no flaws, was shot a couple times but was still capable of “world class” athletic times. It was pure vigilante justice that is glorified because he’s a god almighty SEAL and is above reproach. Mr. Carr is probably selling a lot of books. He got my money on this one….

Badassery. Excellent character buildups, meticulously detailed tactical operations and powerful motive to kill some bad people made this a great read.

Look at Current Events. Great thriller, but couldn’t be more true. When will a James Reese come to save America?

Clichéd at best.. Several scenes of gore and torture that destroy any connection between the reader and the lead character. The pages of thank you’s to accomplished writers confirms that this is a mere knockoff of the genre. If you are looking for character development, don’t stop here. If you want paper thin plots, here’s your book.

Great great, sorrowful, story. James Reece, main character, is another Jack Reacher, enough said. The story has excellent characters to love and hate, and the action is nonstop with many surprise twists and turns. Just as good as the Gray Man stories. Put your seat belts on and read.

Now I have to buy the next books. I read this book in 3 days, the last one starting at midnight and finished the book a 530 in the morning. It is that good!!!! The story flowed and kept me turning pages. I would like to thanks black riffle coffee for introducing me to these stories and author.

Kill Procedural. The story is a guy who kills all the people he hates. In the background is a strong ideology where liberals are evil and conservatives are good. The particular bad guys here with these goals and priorities would be conservatives, not liberals.

Sooooooooo Good!. Fast paced action story that grabs you from the first page! I am buying the next two books. So glad Amazon is making it into a series with Chris Pratt. Perfect actor to play James Reece. Please don’t let Hollywood wreck it with political correctness the way they wrecked the Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp movie.

Excellent book... movie potential. While my usual taste in books comes in the category of (auto)biographies, a flyer for book 3 release was stashed in this months black rifle subscription. I looked it up to check out the details and decided to buy this first novel to get caught up. Had I started reading in the morning yesterday, I probably would have finished this in one day. But life gets in the way, sometimes. With the details contained in the story, I had no problems imagining vividly, the scenes of a movie plot. I couldn’t help but put a “Mike Banning” like character to Reece. I read many of the reviews before writing my own but not without chuckling at the haters who felt it was politically one sided to the side that is obviously not of their own. Not sure what was expected from a novel based on political corruption, considering we all know Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.

Every page a thrill to read. Great character development and an amazing ride.

Trite.. I rarely don’t finish a book. And I knew the kind of book I was buying - the kind I like to read from time to time. But this one is just plain bad. The hero is the perfect, idealized warrior. He can make impossible shots with ease and knows just how to be a good friend to his mates. The bad guys are cartoonish, missing only the twirling mustache, and for some reason likely having to do with the author’s world view they are all Democrats - hilarious. It all passes so exactly like the plot you would expect of a book like this, I kept waiting for something unique to happen. The only unique thing I found was a plot that made little sense. Why would the bad guys even do this? Why not go be evil to a bunch of people that aren’t able to shoot them for it? I guessed the “big” plot twist early and after it happened just put the book down. I didn’t need to read this book. I already have.

Outstanding. As a guy that hasn’t read a fiction novel in years, I can say The Terminal List was the perfect book to break the cycle. A true page turner with the attention to detail any man of action can appreciate! A must read thriller!

Wow. Finished this book within 3 days. That’s saying something. The storyline was riveting and kept things as interesting as an thriller can. I will be continuing on with the other 3 books in this series.

Disapponting. A lack of character development, the author’s right-wing political agenda, and an amoral main character unable to distinguish between retribution and justice make this action-packed novel a fast but disappointing read.

simplistic storyline. book is so enamored with technical government, war and firearms terms to enhance its accuracy, it almost overwhelms the storyline. just a revenge story with lots of death, destruction and little else. but, if you’re into mayhem and conspiracies, you’ll probably like it.

The Terminal List. This was the worst novel I have read in years! Unless you're a gun nut & love all the minutia Carr babbles on about weapons, I can't imagine anyone else enjoying this book. Carr's macho bs is not entertaining nor is it attractive. He does the SEAL community a grave injustice.

Great read!. I was not familiar with the author prior to my discovery of The Terminal List. Upon reading a couple short articles and posts on social media, I thought I had a general idea of what would be the writers style. He certainly surprised my expectations. Twists and turns, along with the details of Reece’s personal mission had me transfixed and gripping for more. I look forward to starting the next book. Great read!

Intense. This might be the most addictive book I’ve ever read. I binged through it in just over two days because I couldn’t put it down. Luckily I already bought True Believers and Savage Son, because I can’t wait to read more about James Reece.
