Useless. This book was very boring for me to read in college they could at least make it about Siri taking over the world. I mean I love apple and all but this book was just very boring and didn't teach me anything I didn't already know. This is not a good book to read at school.

Needs to be more customizable. Android is so much better than iPhone. I only got the iPhones to please my wife’s wants and now she’s sorry that we switched from Android now also. These were our first and last iPhones ever.

I’m such an avid fan of General Patton and his commitment to The USA, his military career and his troops. His genius was legend and often underrated - we will never see the likes of him again The book touched on his tragic death but didn’t erase the suspension of foul play- at least not to me. Duh. This book is not only poorly organized, but not only repetitively repeats very basic information, it seems deliberately short on the pocket computer’s (that’s everything but the phone) capabilities. Like the pin-out for the only connector and specs for converting signals to usb. It also seems light on how to create a more secure phone - then again, if Apple really wanted to build a secure phone, it would have started with shutters on the cameras (I mean sliding covers) and a switch disconnecting the mic when the phone is horizontal. Add 4 stars if you don’t know what a transistor is.

I phone Guide for 8 plus. I have used the Guide for 6 plus and difficult to do searches for issues where some of the terminology had been changed. The Guide that I downloaded for my new 8 plus has been vastly improved even though I downloaded the old one only a few months ago. Illustrations and step by step instructions on most How To queries. It would be a good idea in my opinion to have an already existing Guide in the backed up version to automatically update for the newer version phone as it is being uploaded. Also a note or banner pop up, indicating you have the new reference at your disposal.

User Guide for iOS 11.2. This guide opened my world to the use of my iPhone 7 + and its APPs in way I would not have imagined! With help of Apple Tech Support on some of the questions generated by the guide, it gave me a whole new relationship with the phone and all the possiblities. For those who don’t avail themselves of this guide and other Apple guides, are missing a significant opportunity of what awaits you and all the applications. Yes, it takes time and I took a month or so to walk through the guide by working on a few minutes every day but it well worth it. Thanks APPLE for the GREAT SUPPORT!

IOS 11.2 drains battery. This is the fastest update Apple has put out. Quite frankly it’s sloppy. My battery drains in a few hours if using it. Apple is not as good as it use to be. Should we start calling Apple Microsoft now?

Helpful but a little long. The easy to read iBook is great for learning all about the iOS 11. This book goes through every app and explains in an easy way. But 1000+ pages can be extremely long for someone that wants to get to know how to use an iPhone. If Apple would make a book just with basics many more people would read it.

easier than Googling to try to find an answer. I like to zoom out by making font size smaller to 450 pages and find what I want to read, then zoom in by making font sizes bigger to read the chapter. The bookmark and note features are helpful too.
