Good…. It was a cute love story. But I felt like her dilemma about her job in NYC and returning home was dragged out too much.

An amazing emotional read!!!. What an amazing story of love, healing, and happily ever afters!!! I loved Reed and Grace. After a rocky past, when they reunite they just click. There’s not a whole lot of drama that goes with this story, but just enough. I love the small town vibe of the story, and how when someone thinks they’ve got a “secret”, you can guarantee most of the town knows lol. A wonderfully written story that is a must read!!

Best Group of Books. Melissa Foster has done an excellent job of linking together a cast of characters with happily ever afters. There’s something for everyone.

Sweet second chances. This was a truly enjoyable book! Grace is a sassy character. She fled Oak Falls at 18 thinking she didn’t want country life but rather big city theater. She broke things off with her high school sweetheart, Reed, who went to a rival HS. 10 years later, stars align and these two are forced together. She of course sasses him from the minute she sees him. Reed was definitely an alpha male personality, but boy did he have some serious sweet romantic bones in his body! The things he did for his “Gracie”. They were swoon worthy!!! Grace’s sisters are hysterical in this story. They kept her on her toes. I loved that Reed gave her the ultimatum of friends or lovers. But they would not be enemies. He called her out and made her listen and face the past. He was willing to be either, as long as she was in his life somehow. Grace finally met her match and in her three weeks at home, learned that she really needed to be a country girl.

Sweet, second chance, small town romance. I think Embracing Her Heart is my new favorite Melissa Foster book! I listened to this one on audiobook and loved the wonderful narration. Grace Montgomery is at the top of her NYC theater career. She has mostly avoided returning to her hometown of Oak Falls, but is visiting her family there and helping out teaching a class. Grace tries to steer clear of Reed Cross. Although bad feelings and misunderstandings cloud the memories of their past together, Reed is determined to rekindle the sparks he still feels for Grace. I loved Embracing Her Heart. It is everything I love in a sweet, small town, second chance romance. -5 Stars-

Embracing Her Heart took my breathe away.. This beautiful story begins with Grace Montgomery returning home from New York to teach a screenwriting class at her sister Amber’s bookstore. While she is home her parents porch is being rebuilt by her secret high school boyfriend Reed Cross, who has also just returned to town. Grace is angered by running into Reed and wants nothing to do with him. But a chance meeting at a group event allows them to at least talk about their past. And what a past it turns out to be. Melissa Foster’s characters truly capture your heart. I felt like a participant rather than reading a story. Reed and Grace follow their hearts and the journey is full of twists and turns. I found myself with tears falling down my cheeks as I read Ms. Foster’s touching words. I am so looking forward to the characters and books in this Braden’s & Montgomery series.

Has the curtain fallen on Grace and Reed?. Grace Montgomery, famed NYC theater producer, finally took a break and is visiting her family in Oak Falls. Excellent until the ending. This was a great, well written, engaging story with an abrupt, unsatisfying ending. It had 5 stars written all over it until the last chapter.

Embracing Her Heart. I had to force myself to finish reading this book. It’s not bad it was just slow. Nothing exciting really happened in the book. It was believable and realistic. I liked the characters and not just Reed and Gracie but her siblings too. I think if it was shortened or condensed it would have held my interest better.

Long and boring. Story was way too long and ended up being mind numbingly boring. So much repetition with the plot line. Chapter after chapter beating a dead plot line horse while in the span of just the first few chapters of this book the conflict/problem was both introduced and resolved! It should’ve ended there but instead it dragged on & on incessantly for 29 chapters.

Loveit. I fell in love with Reed I had that once in my life.

Perfect love story. Loved reading this love story.

Embracing her heart. I liked the relationship between the characters. Plot was fine but not exciting. One thing that bothered me was the role of the orchids. They were a symbol to the couple but orchids while gorgeous don’t have a scent according to what I have found.

Reed and Grace. I read and reviewed the book first, then had the chance to listen to the audio. The audio is SO good! Narrated by both Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, the audio storytelling just went up a notch! It was so nice having a male voice for Reed and a female voice for Grace! If you get the chance, you should definitely listen to this one. This is my book review: Do you remember high school? The rivalries? Such an intense time, those teenage years. That’s when Reed and Grace first got together, and with their schools being such heated rivals, they kept their relationship secret (well, mostly). Now, years later, Grace is home for a three- week visit, and Reed is home for good. Life took them in different directions, but now they’re back – and better than ever. But can they make it last this time? Will long distance really work? Will life get in the way, again?! Melissa Foster writes good characters and interesting families. There’s heat, sibling shenanigans, secrets, and fun. I’m looking forward to what comes next! In the meantime, Grace and Reed have a story to tell, so get to reading it!

Boring. So boring I can’t finish it

The hearts knows. The heart knows when its soul partner is present or missing. Time can’t stop the heart from loving who it’s meant to be with. Reed and Grace were lucky enough to find each other not once but twice. Time and distance can’t stop their love, even when they didn’t realize that they were missing a piece of their hearts while they were apart. I would’ve loved to see an epilogue to their love story, but maybe it’s in the next book of this series. I’m looking forward to finding out.

I Love Reed and Gracie!. Oh my! I just loved this book! IReed and Gracie have loved each other since High School. But she couldn’t wait to leave her small town and move to a big city. She became a playwright and produced off-broadway plays. Reed left town after Gracie, he couldn’t stay with her gone. Fate intervened and they both wound up back home and realized their love had never died! What a wonderful story! The chemistry between the characters is great, the wit the humor I laughed and cried.

Embracing your heart. I have read many other books that this author has written and have enjoyed reading every one of them. I definitely would recommend this book to others to read.

Second Chance Romance. Embracing Her Heart is deliciously wonderful second chance romance story that will have you smiling and laughing. Grace Montgomery is back home at Oak Hill, Virginia to help her sister Amber at her bookstore by hosting a playwriting course for the next three weeks. Grace has been working in New York City writing and producing plays. She was “Living the Dream” but it no longer excited her as it did in the beginning. Grace is abruptly awakened by her sisters Brindle and Sable to head off to Hottie Hill in the time honored sister ritual of checking out the Jericho brothers alongside others when they’d break in horses before dawn. They had been doing this since their teens as the guys did this shirtless. Yep! A bevy of shirtless men. Imagine her surprise when she recognized the hot man on a wild horse as her first “everything” Reed Cross. The Montgomery sisters are a riot. The parents as well. Reed Cross was... amazing. Even her friend Sophie Roberts (from Billionaires After Dark) makes an appearance. I really loved this story. It’s the perfect introduction to this new series.

Loved it. 4.5 Stars for book one in the Pleasant Hill- Oak Falls Series by Melissa Foster, this author is fast becoming a go to author for me so it really wasn’t any surprise when I jumped on this book. Welcome to Oak Falls, Virginia, home to horse farms, midnight rodeos, bookstore, coffee shops and the sharp-tongued Montgomery sisters, this book will certainly have you feeling like your part of the family, they will treat you like treasured guests as they welcome you into their life’s. This is Reed and Grace’s story and what a story they have to tell, both are back in town for different reasons but as soon as they see each other it feels like they never left but will the past prove too much, will this couple have their second chance at love ........... As always Melissa Foster gives us adorable characters, she gives us towns and families we will fall in love with and this book is no different, if you love big families, small towns and second chance romance this book will be a must click, loved it and looking forward to more in this series

Loved it. Having read several books by Melissa Foster I jumped at the chance to read this one and I was in no way disappointed When Grace Montgomery returns home she is suddenly made to realise just how easy it was for her to remove herself from her sisters drama filled lives when she was living in New York. Not only do they draw her in, but she comes face to face with the one man she hoped never to see again, Reed Cross. Reed too has returned home and crosses paths with the woman he was once in love with, his first love Grace, a woman he has never truly forgotten. What happens, when Reed wants to re connect and Grace is bound and determined not too? Who will win this battle? When circumstances finally bring these two together, their obvious chemistry and passion cannot be denied, however at what cost? Will Grace be prepared to give love with Reed another chance? Grace is a strong and independent woman who certainly gave as good as she got, I really liked her. Her family was hilarious and I cannot wait to read more about them in coming releases. This is a well written story that tugged at the heart strings and is a second chance at love story; full of hopes and dreams and one that I recommend.

Great start to a new series. 4.5 Stars Embracing Her Heart is the first title in the Pleasant Hill series, featuring The Bradens and The Montgomery's. It's a heartwarming, and sweet story full of heat, heart and humor. If you love a second chance romance, or small town trope this may be the book for you. Although this is the first title in the Pleasant Hill series, the town and several of the secondary characters have appeared in Melissa Foster's previous titles including Swept Into Love, Touched By Love and Bad Boys After Dark: Brett. Reed Cross is such an endearing character, and has the makings of a perfect book boyfriend. He's kind, loyal, caring, compassionate and above all determined. He's a carpenter and very good with his hands. Grace is fiercely independent and strong, and was desperate to escape the small town of Pleasant Hill the minute she finished high school. Although she's successful and accomplished her childhood dreams and goals, she's finding it's not as wonderful or fulfilling as she had expected. The sexual chemistry between Grace and Reed is undeniable and intense, and their connection just oozed off the page. I adored Grace's quirky and fun siblings, each with a distinct personality and I can't wait to see more of them in future titles. If you are looking for a well written read, interconnected standalone look no further than Melissa Foster, but be prepared once you start her books you will be sucked into her fictional worlds.

Even after years of trying to forget each other, the love between them can not be denied. When their feelings reignite can they hold on to their second chance at love? Drawn into the story, this was an intense, heart warming passionate read and a great introduction to the Montgomery family.
