"Editorial Review

In this first installment of Sutter's new series, heroine Jade Monroe has just completed FBI training and is assigned to help track down a serial killer in the Houston area. As bodies accumulate, the agents learn that each victim's death involved a cement block, and their job is to figure out why. The smart, risk-taking heroine that readers came to admire in Sutter's previous Jade Monroe novels is back and in rare form, and the stakes have never been higher, especially when Jade makes a rash decision that threatens to end her FBI career when it's barely begun. The action never slows down in this book, a wild romp of a thriller that Sutter fans will find deeply satisfying." Angela M., Editor, Red Adept Editing

This book was so action packed it kept me glued to my seat! The story takes many twists and turns and he will be riveted. If you are a fan of the TV show Criminal Minds -this book was written for you. This is the second book I have read in the series and I loved them both!

I read this book quickly because I was so hungry to learn what would happen next! The end surprised me!

Good book. Very easy reading.

This is an excellent series! The characters are well developed and the plots leave you second guessing. Enjoy!

Lots of action and fast paced. Tragic story drove a woman to seek revenge.I like Jade the FBI agent.

Excellent read. The author makes the main character Jade Monroe come alive on each page. Once stated you will not want to put this thriller of a novel down.

Great book enjoyed it all from start to finish. Keep up your good work for those of us who love ❤️ mysteries and suspense. Tweety

Can’t wait to read thru her list of books if they are all this good.

One of the best thriller writers working today. An excellent start to a new and exciting chapter for this chary.

I read a lot of thrillers especially those that involve an FBI agent. I found this to be predictable & a little boring.

Loved the book. Of course I love murder mystery. Will read more of your books. Thank you!

Good fast read with action and a villain who is a bit unusual

Thoroughly enjoyed this first book. It would make a good Criminal Minds episode.

I really enjoy snapped it was suspenseful and thrilling all though the book look forward to reading more about Jade the FBI agent

This book was sooo good! From the very beginning it drew me in and I had to keep reading. Definitely a good read

It’s a pretty good read except for the main character......she is an FBI agent that doesn’t follow the rules which puts other people lives at risk......she should be fired and there wouldn’t be any other stories.

Non stop thriller , FBI agent, Jade Monroe brings down the bad guys in this case a women snapped

Great read

Riveting suspense. Don't start it unless you can finish it.

Enjoyed this book from start to finish. I will be reading more from this author.

I liked the main character and twists to the story but found some parts a little unrealistic.

Light reading, interesting story, satisfying finale. Couldn’t stop till I finished it.

Very good read interesting and extremely well written. Awesome story line .

A good read I would recommend this book

Fun, page turner, quick read thriller. Enjoyed it very much as it’s hard to find good free books. Not so PG either, pretty graphic for a change - Thank you!

Great book Wonderful characters

I found Jade to be very annoying comes across as being a know it all. I won’t be reading any more of the series

Thoroughly enjoyed it...

I agree with the other reviewer that the writing style is not very sophisticated. I found the story didn’t flow freely but I stil finished Maniacal (her first book) quite easily once I got used to it.

This book is very hard to read due to the strange writing style of the author - lots of unnecessary detail in the wrong spots - I am unable to finish it because it flows so badly.

Love Jade Monroe, can't wait for her next FBI story!

Loved this book 1stin the series can’t wait to read more.

Reasonable story line but very poor writing style and many repetitive superfluous words!!

There are flaws throughout this book, admittedly mostly minor flaws, that is until the ending which is simply unrealistic. Without giving too much away a junior FBI agent simply wouldn’t be allowed to a) take control of the operation and b) wouldn’t behave so recklessly.

Excellent couldn’t put it down read it in a few hours brilliant written story can’t wait to read the rest of her books

Great crime story

Brilliant read- couldn’t put down- wanting to unravel the motive

An excellent book with good character profiles, a real page turner. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this turn into a TV series. I have one other book to read as a stopgap, then I will return to the next book in this collection

Loved it can’t wait to read the next one

I suffer from ms and can't usually concentrate too long on a book but I just couldn't put this book down even with the pain

I have just read the first book in the Agent Jade Monroes stories by C.M. Sutter. This book kept me turning the pages late into the night to finish it. A great read and look forward to reading the rest of them.

This book had me enthralled from the start to the end. The amount of palpable tension created was amazing. Very highly recommended! Can't wait to read another one!
