I have a question...... So I am most likely younger then all of you. Let’s say, 11. Because it’s true. I go to the hospital a lot for chemo and other stuff, so I need something to do. So not “how did you like the book” but “is it okay for me to read it?” Like age appropriate. I really like these kinds of stories, but I’ve only heard them. Never read one. I’ve watched them before though. Anyway, should I read it? It is free after all.🤗

Most suspenseful book I've read in awhile. Suspenseful and nail-biting book! What started out as a fun evening for father and daughter turns into your worst nightmare. Go along with Alex and Ariana on this terrifying week wishing you could help them but knowing that you can't. The end leaves you wondering if there will be more. LOVED IT!!!!

Fantastic mystery. My poor heart couldn’t take this long and fantastic read. I couldn’t put the book down and I couldn’t take it anymore. If you have the guts to read this story, go ahead and prepare yourself for a ride full of anxiety.

Confusing end. Great plot although relatively transparent. Was hoping for a twist which came in the very end but made little sense to the rest of the storyline. Overall tense and good read.

Awesome book. I thought it was going to be sad and depressing but it was full of excitement and wasn’t scary. The girl who was kidnapped showed amazing insight and bravery.

Suspenseful. Intriguing. Fast-paced.. Even though the 80 something chapters can freak out any reader, especially myself, that’s why it took a while to read. It’s very fast-paced thanks to the intriguing plot, unique structure and modern writing style. I would definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for a page turning thriller/mystery.

Suspense…not at all….. Story was good but they couldn’t make it suspenseful and they stretched it bit too long.

One of the better ones. This the first of her books I read and it I like the style. I have not found an author with this style in a LOOOONG time (decades - that’s probably why I stopped reading books. That and most of the books written over the last few decades have been mostly about sex and violence - not my cup ‘o joe). I really like especially how the story begins and the depth of the characters. The only thing I didn’t care for was some of the confusing disconnected or contradictory paragraphs later in the story - towards the end mostly. It got a bit confusing and harder to follow the storyline, almost like the author just wanted to finish writing the book and wanted to rush the ending to get it over with.

This was one if the best books I’ve read this year. I finished the book in less than three days because it was so good! It kept me interested and never failed to disappoint. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Loved it. Very much a “ page turner” Loved the back story on how the Ariana story began Loved the twist and the confusion Wished I have read the Macy books before hand but over all good start to the Alex series. I’m hoping someone could explain one part at the ending though, where was Ariana kept if it wasn’t in the gated community?

Amazing read. It was a interesting perspective reading parts from different characters in the book. The little twist at the end I didn’t see coming either :)

Amazing!. Couldn’t put this book down from beginning to end! Have previously read the book “Gone” by this author and had the same experience and then reading this one which links to Gone in the end! An absolutely brilliant read with twists and turns you don’t expect keeping you reading. Definitely will be recommending to others !

Very good. This was actually a very good book, hard to put down and extremely gripping. There were a few errors with the printing (random blank pages and pages that are printed twice) but that may be a fault in the digital download instead of the book itself.

A great thriller. Couldn't put this book down - love it when I find a great new author - will continue the series and read many more of the others. Hope they're as good as this one.

Stacy Claflin - The Wrong Girl. The synopsis intrigued me and, because it was a free download on Amazon, I decided to give it a shot. I’ve found some real treasures this way. Firstly, the writing style is really poor. I was tempted to stop reading after a couple of pages but, because I don’t like to give up on books, I persevered with it even though it felt like I was reading badly written fan fiction. The plot was okay, albeit rather predictable and not awfully original. For example, it was pretty obvious, from just a few pages in, that the kidnapper/serial killer is one of twins. This is hardly a new concept. The storyline had very little substance, the characters had no real depth to them and the dialogue between members of the police force and the missing girl’s family lacked authenticity. I figured this was probably the author’s first novel so was somewhat shocked to discover that they have written several books prior to this. I wouldn’t recommend this book nor would I bother with any other books from this author.

Really griping story from start to finish couldn’t put it down i was itching to read it when i was in work and read it on my 5 minutes bread and heading home from work as well 🤦‍♀️but the story was so laid out and didn’t get lost at all even with a few glasses of wine 😂but well done stacey am in to gone now amazing writing was so gripped from start to finish took me only 4 days to finish thanks for the book and keep it up girl even my 14 year old daughter read a chapter with me n she had to download it to read it because wanted to know how it started so shes coming in asking me and were talking about it 🥰amazing
