Lush setting. Author has a knack for making the reader feel transported to the beautiful environments her stories are set within.

Would definitely recommend. If you are looking for a new author to follow then J. H. Croix is the one for you. The descriptions of Alaska scenery is such that you feel you are there. There was a surprise, drama and hot chemistry in this book. Very enjoyable.

Slow. While well written grammatically, there is so much mundane details that crowd the story making it a very slow read.

In awe!. Enjoyed the story and the characters. Could be a bit too descriptive in some areas, did not need a page and half on his house, loved the description when they were together or how they were feeling, hard balance that the author needs to work on(which I know the author did in the others books I’ve read from author). Did enjoy, HEA and no cliffhangers. I enjoy this author’s work, hope you do too!!!

Loved this sweet romance!. Luke and Hannah’s story is both complex but yet simple. The story itself is interesting and makes for a sweet romance. Diamond Creek makes you long for the small town atmosphere among the wilds of Alaska.

Slow moving. The story is just too slow moving for me with way too much detail that seems to get repeated. I rarely give up on a book but I’m stopping at chapter 8 after feeling like nothing is moving along fast enough. If you enjoy incredibly detailed, slow moving stories, this is right up your ally. If you’re looking for a faster paced, meatier love story, skip this one.

Lack of attraction. I don’t believe the attraction between them when the main characters are together but I do when they’re apart, which is a very strange experience. One of the few books I didn’t finish.

Slow. This book is SO SLOW! There is more detail on the Alaskan landscape then the actual characters and story line. I often found myself wondering if I was reading a National Geographic book about Alaska. There was romance but not enough. The books was just missing so much for me. I kept reading hoping it would speed up and get good as a 600 page book it had plenty of pages to do so... and after the reunion explosion I thought okay here we go but then it quickly went back to bland and boring. I was disappointed as I read one of Croix books with a character named Marley and LOVE IT SO MUCH! But this was a big let down.

Interesting read. The detail in this book was great but I can’t help but feel it might have been too much detail. The characters problems strung along a little too much for my taste and honestly the middle could have been wrapped up quicker instead of dragging along.

Wonderful. Loved the characters and how they all deal with death and emotions. Believable characters and smooth flow. Can’t wait to read more about them all.

Good book. A lot about Alaska. If u wanna learn about Alaska this is the book. A lot of description about it. Made the book long bit seems author wanted to share all the beauty of it.

“When love comes” (diamond 1) by JH Croix. Kinda boring. Not much of a connection between Luke and Hannah, no pizazz at all. Boring, dull conversations. What a disappointment from “Burn from you” (5 stars).

When love comes. What a fantastic written book , I felt I was there in Alaska with all the characters ..

Diamond Creek. Ah this book was amazing, I haven’t been able to stop reading and I can’t wait to get the other books in the series!!!

Boring. Not for me, only got half way through. Nothing interesting was happening and it was slow!!! Plus the main characters had absolutely no chemistry.

Meh. I liked the authors other books, but this one was a struggle to get through. I liked the characters and the premise, however the writing was choppy and rushed.

Just went on and on...... Sorry but this book was just a little mundane. Too much about day to day stuff and no real depth. One of the few books I gave up on and didn’t bother to finish. Got about 80% thru and just couldn’t take anymore

Could’ve been shorter. Great plot but it was like reading a thesaurus with every object, feeling or phrase overly detailed. Too many adjectives and felt like the writer wanted to increase word count. Got bored reading over and over about the same thing using way to many words.

Boring. I’m sorry I tried I really did but couldn’t finish this book it’s too boring and repetitive

Not good. Definitely not worth reading .. soooooo boring

Too much. Too much description of nature and everything around and just little of actual story. Not enough of dialogue between Hannah and Luke at the end of the book but too much description of the area around the house.

When love comes is so appropriate.. Thought it was a lovely book. Certainly makes me want to go there and find out if Alaska and the people are like as described in the book. Good read.
