Excellent and beautifully written book!. The Play is beautifully written book from J.H. Croix. J.H. Croix is a master of writing about relationships in The Play. She has woven a beautiful love story between Olivia, an successful Sports Orthopedic surgeon and Liam a famous soccer player who becomes her patient. I loved how their love story intertwined relationships of doctor/patient, best friends, employers, and griief/love of parents. You will enjoy reading this book and can't I wait for the next book to read in the Brit Boys Sports series. I received a free copy of this book and have voluntarily choose to review it.

Not great. Main character kept going back and forth. I thought I would get whiplash

He Play. Loved this book and its characters. Good guys are always love able especially when love wins.

Enjoyable read. This story had me interested right at the beginning and throughout the entire story. I liked the interactions of the main characters and want to continue reading. Thank you for completing the story lines and not leaving the reader hanging.

Enjoyed.. Held my interest. Entertaining. Liked the plot about a doctor and hockey player. However, skipped lots of pages where they were having sex. Not my cup of tea.

The Play. I love it when the male lead is written as authentically masculine (which includes vulnerability). I had a little trouble with the female lead since her issues weren’t delineated in such a way as to make sense. Sometimes it just seemed like drama for drama’s sake. All in all though, I really enjoyed the chemistry and the overall story. I look forward to reading the rest of the Brits series.

Excellent Feel Good Love Story. I couldn’t stop reading! The story between Liam and Olivia was excellent. I can’t wait to read more!!

Good romance. This story was pretty good. I found myself wanting to know what would happen next. The characters were pretty good. Very real and I could picture this occurring. Just enough romance to make it enjoyable.

Great book by a great author. Criox does not disappoint! I absolutely love the characters she has created and how she is able to make their love story so unique. Of course it was a page turner and I look forward to reading more of her books.

Who doesn’t love a British accent!. Wow what chemistry between Liam & Olivia, off the charts. Will their opposite ways of life keep them from being together & what it takes to keep them together. Great story.

Liam and Olivia. Olivia and Liam are an unlikely couple. Liam is a British soccer superstar who has just been signed with the local American team. Olivia is a young, successful surgeon who's work is her whole life. Their paths cross when Liam is injured and needs surgery. They should not get involved with each other but when you meet your soulmate ethics and rules get thrown out the window. Their story is packed with angst and heat. This is the first book in the series and I look forward to reading more.

The Play. A romance between an American orthopaedic surgeon and a British soccer star makes for extremely good reading, medical terms and soccer jargon notwithstanding. I enjoyed the story with its sensitive side, love and insecurities. I cannot wait for more stories on the other two British players as I have just downloaded "To win her" which is Alex, the goalkeeper's story. Great read. looking forward to more.

The Play. This is a straight rom-com. Not a bad story but I prefer some twists and turns which this book didn’t have. Good for a quick feel-good read.

Teens diary. I found the story read like a teens diary. The characters were nice enough, I just found the story to be a bit simplistic for characters who are very intelligent and close to 30yrs old.

Dull. Not only dull, but a horrible mash up of English accents (a Londoner using northern expressions - eeek!) and terms and the strange over use of the word channel - Blurgh....

A good story. Fun and thoughtful at times, when dealing with the issue of grief. Guess it’s difficult to write dialogue for another culture so sometimes the British phrases etc felt awkward but only since I’m a Brit. I’m sure it’s fine if you’re not. The term “luv” instead of things like “baby” was sweet enough and certainly not reserved to us northerners, speaking as a Geordie who has also lived in and around London. Liked all the characters so a great feel-good easy read. Will probably try the next book since I’d like to find out more about Alex.
