Loving Kate. Fairly good read. You get what you pay for, but it is a sweet story with a good ending.

Loving Kate. Loving Kate (Silver Bay Romance, Book 2) by Lara Van Hulzen is sweet romance between two friends. It is a charming story that focuses on interior designer Kate and an artist Jack, who both live in Silver Bay. Kate has spent the past year re-establishing herself, moving across the country after her divorce. Jack and his brother Josh own and operate an architecture company that designs beautiful buildings. Jack sees the vision and Josh draws the design. Josh is married to Kate’s newly discovered sister, Maggie. Jack wants Kate to relax and have fun. He thinks she’s too uptight and believes she should relax and laugh more. Kate has given up on men after divorcing her controlling, abusive husband. It was interesting reading this story to find out if Jack was able to get Kate to open up and let go. A store fire brings the two into daily contact and they start spending evenings and more time together. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Sweet but not sappy. I really enjoyed this - good characters, sweet romance, but still realistic.

Sweet and Inspirational Read. "Loving Kate" by Lara Van Hulzen is book number two in the "Silver Bay" series. This is Kate MacIntire and Jack Harden's story. Kate moved to Silver Bay after her divorce. Her marriage to her ex was an emotional abusive marriage. Kate is determined to do things on her. She doesn't want to be dependent on anyone. Jack and Kate met at the wedding of his brother and her sister. These two are total opposites but there is definitely a spark between them. This is a sweet and inspirational story. There are obstacles they have to work through. I enjoyed the courtship of Kate and Jack. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Hopeful, Patience. Loving Kate deals with emotional abuse and how it takes a toll on a persons confidence and being able to open back up again. Jack is attracted to Kate but realizes she is holding back and as he peals the layers of the onion he find out about Kate ex-husband and the emotional games he is playing on her still, even after their divorce. Lara does an excellent job at showing the toll this can take on a person and what type of patiences it takes to help another person move forward, it isn't easy. I look forward to reading the next story in this series and see where Lara goes with the town. I received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

Bad language. It would have been much better without the foul language. Not sure why it was this book at all.

Loving Kate. I really loved this story. Kate was dealing with so much, putting her life back together after an abusive marriage. Jack was drawn to Kate and really did a great job of getting her to let go and let the real Kate shine through. There was certainly drama to deal with, a fire, arson, and an ex-husband that didn't want to let go. But Kate and Jack were just so wonderful together I couldn't help but smile while reading.

opposites attract. wonderful story of opposites attract. Kate has a unique style of dress and lifestyle and then she meets Jack who looks like a bad boy, but he's really a sweetheart when it comes to love. He is her strength and protector when her life is in danger. Wonderful HEA!

Loving kate. Escaping an abusive relationship means moving to a small town for Kate. She finds friends, a meaningful life and a man whose love allows her to find joy and love again

Loving Kate. I love your style and especially no bad words it is very refreshing to read. It was drama fun exciting experience. Keep it coming your my new favorite author.

A Sweet Inspirational Romance. A wonderful sweet, inspirational romance that takes place in Silver Bay. Kate has come to Silver Bay after leaving an abusive marriage, not expecting to find romance again, especially in the guy that looks like a bad boy. Jack turns out to be anything but the bad boy, he has such an inner beauty that Kate soon can not resist. Loved the small town feeling in this book. This is the first book that I have read by Lara Van Hulzen, but will now go back and read, Return to Silver Bay. I highly recommend this book.
