Hmm. Not sure how to feel.. The plot of this book is so unbelievably depressing that it’s hard to connect with the story or the characters. A life after death that is more rigid and has more rules than life itself... no thank you. The writing was sometimes strange and a bit convoluted. I’ve read 45 novels this year alone, but with this one, I didn’t always understand exactly what was happening. But oddly enough, even though I finished it about 5 days ago, and have even read another book since, I still find myself thinking about it. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars rather than 2... when a book stays with me in any capacity, that means something to me.

A little quirky but fun. This is a light-hearted story that is entertaining without having to think too hard.

Sway is away..... As an avid reader, I have struggled to find the genre that this excellent series would fall under. I can best describe it as: a recently dead Millennial Miss Marple meets "Beetlejuice" - wordy, but you get the drift. Scrap any previous literary descriptions of the "Afterlife" and immerse yourself in the unique world of our heroine, Miss Sway, as she struggles to adjust to navigating her death, mandatory support meetings, lack of suitable attire and murder. This is the first book in the series and the characters continue to be engaging, singular and well rounded in their development. A truly enjoyable read and I bought the remainder of the series on the strength of this debut....and some wine; I bought some wine just to "enhance" my reading.

Thrills! Chills! And Spills (of blood)!. Who’d of thought being dead would be so - annoying. Or that stories of such would be so entertaining. At least it lets you travel. Once your probation is completed. And you filled in the forms. And waited another 10 years before finding out it’s been rejected (which probably require more forms). Funny and mysterious and the right amount of weird, I highly recommend it.

Ghost PI. Very unusual PI thriller, the protagonist is already dead!

Extremely well written and so funny. I couldn't stop reading this book, it's very cleverly written with an unexpected storyline and hilarious 'dead' puns. Would really recommend this light hearted and original book.

I laughed till I cried at the antics of Bridget Sabrina Madame Zorina and co, poor Oz is the one who has to instil the rules and regulations but finds it hard to get Bridget to comply. A book you won’t be able to put down till you’ve read every word and it’ll still leave you wanting more. Get it ASAP. You really don’t know what you’re missing

Really great read. I previously rated this book 3 stars, midway through reading the start which I regret because it ended up being SO GOOD, I’m a very picky reader and I am very stuck in my ways with what I like to read but this plot was extremely addictive, well thought out and interesting
