The Awakening of Ivy Leavold. The reason I gave this 1 star is because they removed the 4th and final book. You pay for books 2 and 3 but can’t find out how the story ends . Not cool at all.

A spicy mystery. Know what you are getting into though, the ML is high-key toxic and actually pretty terrible but the spice is fabulous.

Anticlimactic. The description of the book makes it seem almost like a detective undertone is at work, but there’s hardly any of that until pretty much at the end. Basic information is revealed and without spoiling too much of this book, you kinda could’ve guessed yourself or at least something along the lines of what is written. It’s steamy, but unless you enjoy that naive “first time haven’t even explored my own body yet” kind of scenario, I feel like this had been written before. It’s a quick read however, the overall plot is enjoyable and the characters are truly something.

One word to describe it all. Sexy.

Eyes wide open. The Awakening of Ivy Leavold was about Ivy an unattached poor woman with no family lineage awakened by strong sexual urges by a man who was married to her cousin. Ivy lacked the proper social graces having been brought up in untraditional methods. Her behaviors were uncustomary for a young woman. Her ungoverned nature was a desirable aphrodisiac for Mr. Markham. The story dated back to 1879 Yorkshire where women and men behaved properly in public. Mr. Markham was a wealthy, worldly, and cultured man living high on top of the hill in Stokeleigh. Mr. Markham surrounded himself with other worldly people who behaved openly with both men and women. This erotic story blended both modern ménage a trois with historical time piece settings. This book was a naughty delight. It sparked all kinds of salacious lust and sex appeal. Everything about the sexual experiences were written with sex appeal, lust, and desire. While the sex was lascivious and delightful what was most desirable were the words used to describe the scenes. First and foremost, in case other readers need to be assured that this isn’t just a sexual book with no plot. Ivy felt her life was in danger with Mr. Markham after two prior wife’s were found dead. Sierra wrote an excellently well story incorporating both sex and mystery. There was a proper balance of both. I felt I understood Ivy’s character and her upbringing thus never questioning her choices.

Erotic historical...sizzling!. Ivy is orphaned and has found a place to stay where her recently departed cousin Violet. Her death was stated as accidental. However if there is much gossip that her husband Jules murdered. Many erotic scenes happen between the couple along with some of his friends. He finally takes her virginity. The story ends with Jules asking Ivy to be his wife. As to who murdered Violet, that's up in the air...is it the housekeeper, the valet or Jules himself?
