Why.... is the main character so obsessed with weight? She judges every woman she meets by their size, and half the book is spent talking about food. It's irritating. And for the record, a size 12 IS large unless you're over 5'9".

Disappointing. This is the second time I've tried to read a Lexy Timms book, and it's the second time I've been utterly disappointed. During the beginning of the book I was excited to see the progression of the story and the characters, but Lexy falls flat of my expectations once again. There is little to no character development for Alex, who is a main character. The story builds up nicely for a chapter or two and then rambles on to climax into.... Nothing. Nothing happens in this book. I'm not sure why this author gets such high ratings.

The Boss. The family dynamics throughout this story are very up in the air. Not knowing what one is thinking and then the actions from another are not conducive to family functions in a relaxing setting.

Infuriating!. This is the most infuriating, unrealistic book. The plot stinks. If your sister took your boyfriend, would you really be such a doormat? I couldn't even make myself finish it.

Dinner time….. Very good kept me wanting more but the cliff hanger has way more to be desired. There just could have been more like the writer was like dinner time gotta go.

The Boss. It annoys me to no end when I buy a book that says it has a certain number of pages, and I find out 1/3 of that number is a teaser for another book. Also, it ends abruptly. It continues in another book, I’m presuming. The story just dropped off a cliff. WTH?

Cliffhanger. 351 pages and you have to buy the next 4 books to know how the ending come out. All in all good book.

Unsatisfying to say the least. What type of ending was that first of all!? Obviously they’re just trying to hook readers into half of the story just so that they’ll buy 3 more books. You really could’ve made this into one book. Also, the main character and her family is completely unrealistic. It could’ve been a really great book but I won’t be reading any further.

Not bad, not great. My main critique would be that the author didn't really give the character of Alex any personality. It wasn't terrible, but I don't think I will be reading the second book in the series.

Falling for her boss. Jamie Connors meets Alex Reid at a restaurant where her ex-boyfriend is celebrating being engaged to her sister. She is recommended to him as a woman who is not distracting, who is overweight. Her family treats her like a fat Cinderella. She needs the job so she can move out of her parent's basement. Alex offers her the job right away. She comes highly recommended by her previous employers. She is also overwhelmed with planning the wedding for her sister who is a lazy, spoiled brat. She is also marrying Jamie's ex. Even when she asks her family to join her for her birthday dinner - they do not remember what day it is. She has to pay. The discussion at the table is only on her sister's wedding and not on her birthday. What kind of family does that? Such an incredibly moving story. I wanted to reach through the book and kill the sister and ex-boyfriend. This book definitely moves the reader to feel things. All kinds of things. On the other hand, it has great characters and an amazing plot. I do not want to give it all away. I will say as book one in the new Managing the Bosses series, it was a definite BANG! Lacks maturity. I had high hopes for this, but for some reason this book lacks maturity. Perhaps this is targeted towards a young audience because the characters behave in a juvenile way . Especially the boss who’s supposed to be a super serious CEO

The start of a story. This could have been a story if the author had bothered to complete this novel. However, as it is published the author just suddenly stopped the book. The characters could be interesting if she developed them and the back story.
