Very interesting story. I enjoyed reading this. The main character is a formidable assassin. The violence and nudity sets this book apart from my favorites. I wouldn't feel comfortable reading this to my kids.

Read and enjoy fast pace. Interesting having a female protagonist... other than an emotional tie to her past, she has no emotion when taking care of her tasks. Not even a weakness after days etc of not eating etc. not trying to grab short rests. That is perhaps the biggest trip in the book.. a little more humanity traits would be better to be able to relate to her. I will read future books by this author

want the happy ending. compelling story but repetitive in the way of forcing a sequel…but it worked. I invested in the assassin and her missing child. I want the improbable happy ending for the orphan killer and her daughter.

Action. This is an outstanding piece… action all round, there was no dull moment. A must read.

Fast moving. This is a short book packed with action. Definitely a good read

Solid start to a great series. Sei had given her up career as assassin after giving birth to a child who did not survive. Two years later, Sei discovers that her daughter did actually survive, but was kidnapped at birth. Information regarding her daughter's location will be provided to Sei as payment, should she successfully complete a dangerous mission. This was a great introduction to the world Sei lives in, and had some twists you didn't expect.

Sei is an assassin you want on your side.. Fast paced read with plenty of action. You really feel for Sei as she starts the search for her missing daughter. Only a parent would understand the depths she’s prepared to go to in her quest. With her skill set she’s better armed than most and she will let nothing stand in her way. Be prepared for violence but none is gratuitous. It’s simply to survive. Great read. Now buying the next book and can’t wait to read it and see what happens next. Seis my new heroine!

So many twists and turns. Explosive thriller, violent in places, but you just want to keep turning the page. There are not many free first book in a series that really make you want to buy book 2. This one does.
