Not what I'd hoped for. I enjoyed the premise of the story, but found the characters lacking depth and real personality. There was fun dialog, completely witty at times...Lydia's drunken matterings were quite comical, but I didn't get the same connection with the characters in this book as I have in Julia Kent's other series, "Shopping for a Billionaire" for instance. Some of the scenes could have had me chuckling (the travel arrangements as they unfolded), rather than seething...as described was more mean than funny...but really could have been hilarious. In all of the book I just didn't feel any true spark between Lydia and Matt...perhaps in the books that follow in the series, as Mike emerges the chemistry that would supposedly make you completely forget your being watched via cameras while in the office, will surface and make the reader want to root for Lydia and Mike...rather than Lydia and Jeremy as her musings and the description of the second book infers. The book was provided to me by the author for an honest review...I wish I could have enjoyed it more and I truly enjoy Julia Kent's writing as a whole. I'm hoping that the remaining two books in the series will make a liar out of me, and show me that I was being impatient in my criticism by not waiting for the story to unfold further!

Good read. Laugh out loud. So enjoyable. Really, the steam could have been cut from the story, as the fun and hilarious character play was the best part of this book. Good read

Loved it!!!. I couldn’t get enough of this book. I was reading it every where I went.

Too many repetition. Even though storyline was good. But scenes repeated a lot. I skipped chapters to not reread again.

Wry, quirky, romance starter.. Similar the TV show undercover boss, Mike goes under cover as Matt. He never expected to be so drawn to Lydia. Warning this is book 1 of 3 , and this cliffhanger is a doozie.

ON FIRE!!!. Love this series!! If only I were Lydia!!! I read all 3 back to back and after one ended, I couldnt wait to download the next!!! Definitely recommended to everyone!!

Story review. The story jumped all over the place. Really didn’t get a sense of the characters. Some of the story had to much detail, details that you didn’t need to know really because it didn’t go with the story. When the sex scenes came about that was good, there was just not a lot of consistency in the story. Some of the characters were out of place there was not a need for them as in it didn’t do anything for the story.

All over the place. While I enjoyed most of the book, it seemed to have jump all over the place a lot. Switching back and forth between narrators made it a little difficult to keep up with. The book also doesn’t have a real ending and just carries on to the next books. I wouldn’t recommend.

Magnificent Read. I love reading Maliciously Obedient Book 1! The storyline is very creative, compelling, fascinating and well written. I like that it's set in the current trends. Her characters are strong has lots of sexual chemistry that jumps from the pages and is funny it keeps you entertained from beginning to end. The dilemmas each of the characters finds themselves are easily related to and their personalities are as we say off the change. This is the first book of a three book series. Maliciously Obedient is fantastic, hilarious and engaging read. I'm so excited to read the next book! Michael, a playboy CEO is approached to be in a reality show about hidden bosses and becomes Matt Jones who takes the position that Lydia was going to apply for. Lydia is determined to prove that a romance marketing campaign can help the company's bottom line but she never expected that red hot attraction to her new boss could interfere with her plans. I given this book to read and review. I rate it Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and Five Hearts ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Yes!. Great story. Falling in lust/love with your boss only to find out he isn’t who you thought he was. Super sexy scenes.

This book, just like her others, has scenarios that you can relate with, some scenarios you want to relate with and then there are the other scenarios that only Julia Kent can come up with!! Combine that and her twisted humour makes this another series for wanting MORE!!! Can you write faster Julia? I'm to excited to wait!!!

Don't know the ending. You have to buy future books to find outcome. I hate that!

Courageous witty & smart. Wasn’t sure about this in the beginning. But as I read on the characters & story line started to grow on me. Towards the end became hilariously funny. Now I must finish this. 🤓
